Chapter - 8

Mia's POV:
Biology and psychology went by super quick. The teachers were both really nice and so were the students. They all greeted me nicely and actually came to speak to me after the lessons! Today was going a lot better than I expected. I met Summer in biology like Kaylee said I would and she was Soo nice! She had reddish coloured hair which was really curly and frizzy but it looked great on her, loads of freckles, a bit shorter than me and green eyes.

It was break time now and I was with summer as we both had psychology together as well. We got to know each other really well. She led me outside towards a bench area and we just sat there talking. I really wanted to go and find Luke to see how he was doing. But as I thought this, I saw him walk by with a girl and they were laughing. Well I guess I don't have to worry about him after all.

Break flew by and before I knew it, it was Lunch time. Me and Kaylee was walking through the corridors to our lockers. There was a boy leaning right against my locker and I stopped and looked at Kaylee for help. "It's okay", she said "It's only Cameron". I'm guessing he was another friend in the group. As we walked up to him I started to notice the other people he was with. Noah, Matthew and this other girl that I haven't met before.

"Who's the girl?" I asked Kaylee before we reached them. "That's Georgia" she said.

"Hey guys!" Kaylee said to them. They said hey back and Kaylee introduced me to Georgia and Cameron. Honestly, everyone here is so cool! It's crazy.

We all made our way to meet the others in the cafeteria. I could smell the food from a couple of corridors away, which was always a good sign. Kaylee, Georgia, Cameron and Noah went to a table were some other guys were sitting, while Matthew and I went to get lunch. He showed me where to go and what to do as I had no idea whatsoever. He was really cool! Like, really really cool! It was kinda embarrassing though because I started joking around with a pot of jelly, or jello as they call it in America, and I accidentally dropped the whole thing on this girls foot! Matthew had tears coming out he's eyes he was laughing so much! The girls reaction was priceless!

After that scenario was finished and cleaned up Matthew and I made our way to the table were everyone else was sitting.

"What took you so long?" Kaylee said eyeing both of us up.

"Mia dropped some jello on this girls foot, it was incredible! You had to be there" He told the story in full detail but had to stop at some points because he couldn't stop laughing. Everyone else burst out laughing and the whole cafeteria stared at us. We didn't care, we was having fun.

Noah then introduced me to this girl who had black straight hair which was very long, she had a tiny bit of mascara on, and she had bright blue eyes. Her eyes really stood out because the colour of her hair was dark. I think Noah said her name was Ivy. That name really suits her.

Lunch time was nearly over and all you could hear was laughter coming from the centre of the cafeteria. It had been one of the best lunch's I've had in a very long time! Matthew kept looking at me. It was kinda awkward, what if I had something on my face?

"Do I have something on my face?" I asked him. Why did I say that out loud!?

He was kinda shocked and nervous because I don't think he realised that he kept staring. "No, I'm just looking at your freckles" he said carelessly and kept looking. He seemed more calm and normal now. "Oh, okay?" I giggled a little bit. "Have you ever tried playing dot-to-dot with them?" He asked. Everyone looked at him because of how stupid he's comment was but shortly after the cafeteria was full of laughter again. I think he was being serious though!

The day was over and I was at the lockers with Kaylee. "Do you wanna come over tonight!? You don't have to though?" I offered her. "Yess Totally!!!!" She replied straight away.

I phoned mum and told her I was bringing home a new friend and she sounded very happy. She said she's gonna make MUFFINS which is a bonus!

Kaylee and I waited outside the school gates for Luke. It wasn't long until I saw him walking out of school with the same girl he was with a break. They came over to us and Luke introduced me to 'Layla' I think her name was and I introduced him to Kaylee. Dad arrived shortly after Layla left and I let Luke call shot gun as I didn't want Kaylee to be stuck in the backseat with him.

We got home and I saw Kaylee's eye's widen at the sight of the house. "Oh My God, this place is incredible!" She said.
"Wait till you see inside" and I dragged her into the new house...
