Chapter - 11

Mia's POV:
"Hey, having fun?" I asked while sorting out the smoothies.
"Yeah, it's cool! But why won't you come in the pool?" He asked scratching the back of he's head. Woah. I think I just went red again.

"Uhh, I... I'm scared to float" I say.
"Oh really, well I can help you if you want" he offered.
"Really!?" I really wasn't expecting him to say that. I was expecting him to laugh like Kaylee did.
"Yeah sure!"

He helped me take the smoothies out to everyone and we all sat on the side of the pool drinking them. Matthew sat next to me and occasionally our arms accidentally touched. This made me feel all weird inside. A good weird.
Everyone finished there drinks and got back in the pool apart from Matthew. He had finished too but stayed sitting next to me.
I finished my drink and looked at him. He looked me in the eyes and said "Ready?". This made my insides die a bit because the sunset was behind him and some of the Suns Rays were outlining he's figure. His voice sounded deep and mysterious.

"For what?" I asked confused.
"To learn how to float" He said and he jumped in the water.
"Now!?" I said, I was not prepared for that.
"Yeah. It will be fine trust me" he said while holding onto my waist and helping me into the water.
I held onto he's shoulders because I was scared that he was gonna let go. But he didn't. He kept he's hands lightly on my waist as we moved around the pool.
We did this for a couple of minutes until he said "I'm gonna let go now"
That's when I started to panic "Noo don't let go! I'm gonna die!"

He laughed a little and said "Don't worry. Just don't let go of me yet" .

He let go and I still held onto his neck. "Now, slowly let go, it's okay if you start to sink cause I'll grab you. Okay?" He said without breaking eye contact with me.

"Okay" I said and I started letting go of him.
I fully let go and we had no contact at all. I was floating.

"Oh My God", Kaylee said "Your floating!" She seemed very proud.

I thanked Matthew and hugged him then and there in the water. I pulled away and he was red, I'm guessing I was red too!

It was getting late now and everyone was getting tired so we all got changed and warmed up and I made everyone a hot chocolate before they left.

Today was the best day I've had in such a long time and Im super happy that I made such cool friends...

Sorry for such a short chapter, I just needed to get the 'first day' out of the way cause I was dragging on for too long !
