*A Week Later*
Mia's POV:
"You should join a club!" Ivy said while paying for our milkshakes.
"I've only been at school for a week, I still don't know my way round properly. I don't think I'll be starting a club any time soon" I said taking my milkshake. We walked over to the booth where everyone else was sitting and handed them there milkshakes. I've gotten to spend a lot of time with everyone this past week which as been super chill.
"Thought about joining any clubs yet?" Cameron said to me.
"Why is everyone so into joining clubs?" I asked.
"Didn't you join any clubs in London?" Kaylee said.
"Basketball, and Woodwork" I said looking around at everyone.
The boys seemed impressed. Haha.
"Well why don't you join a club here" Matthew said.
"Well what clubs are there?" I asked.
Everyone started saying loads of different clubs all at the same time and I couldn't keep up. I heard soccer, cheerleading, theatre, gymnastics, chess. But then I just heard loads of noise and couldn't understand anyone.
"I KNOW!" Summer said.
"Oh no... I'm not gonna like this" I moaned. I knew I wasn't gonna like it, I could just tell.
"Volleyball!!!!" She cheered.
"Nooooo. No no no. No" I said stubbornly.
"What's wrong with volleyball!?" Ivy said.
"Nothing, I just can't play it" I said.
"I think I'll just go around school tomorrow and see what's going on" I said
"I'll come" said Matthew
"Okay" I said and smiled.
Matthew and I have become quite close this past week. He gets cuter and cuter everyday! I don't know what he thinks about me. What if he doesn't think anything about me? What if he doesn't think about me at all? I snapped out of my thoughts as Noah said "Well I better be going" and that's when we all decided it would be best to leave. So we got up and left In-N-Out Burger.
As I was walking home I got a text from Matthew.
M: Hey, excited for tomorrow?
Me: I'm honestly clueless, I don't know what to do
M: Don't worry, we'll find something for you to do :)
Me: Do you any clubs?
M: I'm a Comerback in Football
Me: Oh that's really cool! Do you do any other clubs?
He didn't answer straight away so I put my phone in my pocket as I was nearly home.
There's new people moving in next door to us. I can see them unloading the delivery truck as I get closer. Mum wants us to go and say hi later on. Great, but at least she'll have muffins...
