Hogging the Ball

I was very excited about tomorrow. We were going to sleep over at Erin's, me, Elle, and Ally. We didn't have many plans, except to watch heaps of movies and stuff our faces with food. I couldn't wait and had already begun packing. It was quite hard to decide what to pack since I couldn't bring much. We had school tomorrow, which meant that I'd have to carry 2 big heavy bags, which would absolutely kill my shoulders. Oh well, I do it for them.

After my older brother Noah had finished irritating the crap out of me, I went to the bathroom and had a nice relaxing shower, and did some skincare. I did a face mask too, I wanted to take good care of my face. Afterward, I treated myself to some ice cream and added some M&M's to it. I later had a long scroll through TikTok, manifested my wishes for my future through Pinterest, and read some of my book.

My sister Tahlia was also planning on moving out soon, as she had just turned 20. She had a mate called Asher, who she was planning to live with, although, they were still looking for a place. She was at home today, and I was really happy and joyous spending time with her; I knew I wouldn't get much more of this time as she got older and pursued other interests.

I did some more homework and a few little side projects for myself. I checked my mood board and saw all the different quotes I'd written up for my wellbeing - they helped me feel confident. Afterward, I checked my phone again, and of course, my friends had been texting. Mostly Erin, talking about her oh-so-obvious crush on Alex. We still hadn't decided if we were going to call them Elex or Arin.

Morning's are the most stressful moments for me, and the sleep over was only making it more stressful. I dance 5 days a week, and Tuesday is one of those days. Today, I had dance before school from 7am, which means an early wake up to get there on time. I had packed some of my things yesterday, but clearly not enough. Not only did I have to bring my school bag and dance bag to school, but another one for the sleepover. How the hell am I supposed to fit my whole entire skincare routine in there? Not to mention haircare too.

I left at around 20 minutes for the start of the lesson, praying that I would catch the bus on time. Luckily I did. I got a lot of odd stares, more then usual today. Not only was I wearing minimal clothing - activewear - but with my school shoes. I had contemporary today, so I had no reason to bring another pair of shoes, so wearing my school shoes saved the most baggage. On top of my atrocious choice of fashion, I had 3 huge ass bags to carry. I was glad to have gotten a seat.

Once I got to school, I rushed to the dance studio, and got there just in time. Class was great and I had a lot of fun. Now came the hard part. Changing into my school uniform. It was first a rush to get a change room before someone else, but also to change into my pristinely pressed uniform, along with my school blazer and all it's badges, and my hair, which was going to need a lot of frizz taming.

Once I was finished, I ran my way to homeroom and met up with Ally, who was also in my homeroom. Homeroom was pretty basic; we didn't do much. However, we liked to frequently look at handsome celebrities and gawk over their attractiveness. Although today, there was a different turn of conversation.

"So, I absolutely can't wait to sleep over at Erin's!" Ally squealed.

"I know right, we are so not sleeping tonight," I added.

I had been keeping a secret from the girls all day, and I knew it would kill them if I told them straight away, so I decided to keep it a secret before starting a screaming match at school. I had been talking to my dad, the coach, all week about whether training would be on or not, due to the conditions of the weather and the grounds in which we train on.

It was also vital to remember the sleep over, and what would happen if training were to go forward with or without me. Dad was in contact with the Manager of the club, and the decision was constantly changed, until they decided.

I decided to tell my friend Elise the big news, and she went crazy - absolutely wild. I had to remind her not to tell the others since I wanted to surprise them.

The day continued on, and I continually became increasingly nervous. Not of telling my friends the news, but for training. They were gonna see him- us. We weren't even together yet. Plus, who knows what could happen at training.

ARGH. I got 1 question wrong in my maths test because of 1 stupid mistake. This was really pissing me off. Like, seriously? Why me? Why do I always make one stupid mistake on maths tests; I do senior maths at tutoring yet I can't even get a simple Stage 4 question right? How. Just how.

Luckily, the bell rang, and I could finally get out of this damn classroom and out of the school. Since I was in the fursthest building from my locker, I had to practically run cross country through the school to get my stuff and catch the bus in time for the sleep over. The sleep over. I totally forgot. That just put me in such a worse mood that I had to carry 2 big bags on the bus.

Once I got my stuff, I ran outside to the gate where my friends and I always met for the bus. We walked outside, and of course we could see the bus down the street. We ran for our lives and caught the bus just in time. Once we were on the bus we were lucky enough to get the long back row of the bus and dump our bags.

Whilst we were on the bus, I vented my irritance on the stupid mistake on the maths test. I was really annoyed, but my friends humoured me with funny memes and tiktok videos which took the weight off of my shoulders. It was a long ride to Erin's house since there was a lot of traffic.

We got off the bus one stop early to go and eat at the shopping centre, where we got Subway cookies, drinks, chips and other little treats for ourselves. Today was the last day of the term, and we were dead from all of our hard work. Whilst at the shops, we saw a lot of hot guys.

The girls laughed their way around the shopping centre before lazily catching the bus one stop further to Erin's house. Once they arrived, the settled in and changed clothes. Elle and Ally decided to have a little bit of fun, ravaging through the Tree Mountain High School Yearbook upstairs. To cut a long story short, they found some really hot guys and Bailey, pre-mullet.

They also found Alex Franklin, Erin's crush, and screamed at the top of their lungs. Then, it was time for Erin to spring the news on them.

"Okay guys, there's somthing I've been hiding from you. So, as you know it's Tuesday, and well, it's been raining for the past week. Well, Dad has been talking to the Manager of the Club, and well training's on. You guys are coming," she was momentarily interrupted by a tsunami of screams, before continuing on as loud as she could, "and you get to see Alex."
