Chapter 9: The Hotel

Chloe pov.

We had to wait a little while for his ankle to heal before we could start to walk, luckily, we heal fast. After awhile we started to walk again. I let him lean on me a little even though his ankle was already mostly healed. I like having him close to me, I'm not sure why though, I just do.

We walked for a long time. After awhile I could tell it was getting late and could hear the more nocturnal animals starting to become active. We walked for a little while longer then I could hear cars in the distance. We where near a city.

"come on." Matt said and took my hand. I followed not really knowing where he was taking me but I could hear the city sounds getting closer.

After a minute or two I felt pavement underneath my feet. Matt squeezed my hand a little and we kept walking. After awhile we we walked inside a building and I could feel the air conditioner blow on my face. It felt good compared to being outside and walking the past couple days.

"Where are we?" I asked and could feel people stating at me. I must have looked horrible from sleeping on the ground, and Matt probably didn't look any better.

"A hotel." he said. I smiled and he squeezed my hand again which I guess was a way of telling me he was smiling back. "after everything, I think we both deserve to sleep in a bed."

We walked up to the front desk and I could tell that the person was starring at us a little. I stand a little closer to Matt feeling self conscious.

Matt books a room with two beds and gets our room key telling the lady fake names. We walk to the elevator and go up to the second floor. We walk down a hallway then stop and I hear Matt open a door. Matt helped me around the room so I know where everything is I sat down on one of the beds.

"I'm going out for a little but I'm be right back." he said then kissed my cheek. I smile and blush a little. "don't leave the room." he says then walks out the door.

After he leaves I get up and walk to the bathroom to take a shower. I let the water warm up then strip off all my clothes and step in. I stand there for a couple minutes letting the warm water relax my muscles then I grab the soap and start to scrub all the dirt off of me.

After my shower I find one of the complimentary robs and put it on not having any clean clothes to put on. I rap my hair up in a towl then walk put of the bathroom. Matt still wasn't back so I sat down on the bed. I found the remote to the TV and turned it on. I switched channels until I found a music channel. I sat there for awhile listening to the music and singing along to the songs I know.

After awhile Matt still wasn't back and I was starting to get worried. 'where did he go?' I think to myself. After a couple more minutes I hear the door open and I smell Matt walk in. I turn the volume down on the TV and smile.

"I got you something." he says and I hear him moving a plastic bag.

"You didn't have to get me anything." I said smiling.

"I didn't have to, I wanted to." he says then hands me the plastic bag. I feel what's inside and feel some fabric. "it's just some jeans, T-shirt's and some pajamas. I didn't know what size to get some I just got a size bigger than what I thought. I'm not saying you're fat, I just didn't want them to he to small." He says.

"what do they look like?" I ask pulling a shirt out of the bag. He says he got three pairs of jeans, and four shirts, one pink with a black heart on it, one plain black, a plain pink one and a white one with a rose on it, and the pajama pants were a light blue and he got a white tank top to go with them I stand up and hug him.

"thank you." I say smiling as he hugs me back. I take the pajama pants and tank top to the bathroom and change into them. I yawn walking out of the bathroom and sit down on one of the beds.

"let's get some rest." Matt says turning the TV off. I nod and lay down almost immediately falling asleep as my head hits the pillow.

"night." I mumble before falling into a deep sleep.
