Amias sat at his desk in Biology after lunch with a look of boredom on his face. His face was being held up by his right hand that was cupped firmly against his cheek, and his elbow leaning on the hard surface on the table. He was so bored he was sure he could actually fall asleep—and vampires don't sleep. The room slowly filled as students came in from after lunch. He had hoped that time went by quickly like it usually does, and it was times like this that he wished he could sleep away the time and the feeling of complete boredom.

He heard her name before he smelt her scent. He could hear Angela and Mike talking to her down the hallway before he lead her into the classroom. She had walked right towards Mr. Banner's desk to hand him her sheet, and Amias looked around to see that the only seat that was left was the one beside him toward the back. Poor thing. But, he moved his things aside to make room for her.

Amias could only curse his luck as she stood in front of the fan that blew the scent of her strawberry shampoo that was mixed with the smell of her sweet blood in his direction. Had he not had practice in his control, he would've lost his mind in the middle of the classroom, but, he chose to focus his control on squeezing his pen with the right amount of pressure to not snap it.

He probably looked like a ravaged animal to her in that moment but he had to keep it together otherwise he would lose in control further. The poor girl was his prey while he was the predator simply because her scent was so intoxicating. He hadn't smelt it in the cafeteria due to the other people covering her own with their horrible scents; it was like a blessing and a curse that it hadn't hit him then.

Bella walked over towards their new shared desk; she was walking slowly as if she was nervous to get closer to him. It was fair enough since she was about to sit next to the most dangerous predator—she was unaware of this, of course, but he was still an animal nonetheless. Fate was nothing short of cruel to have this happen to her. He could only imagine the newspaper article of her death.

Isabella Swan, aged 17. Cause of death: being in the wrong place at the wrong time with her mouthwatering smelling blood.

She had been taking such little and slow steps to limit the time she would have to sit next to him that she somehow managed to step on one of her shoelaces and fall straight to the ground right beside him, snapping him out of his daze where he imaged the thought of biting into her neck.

Carlisle and Aro would've be so disappointed in him for it if he gave in, but they would understand. A man would only handle so much. Thankfully, the girl was clumsy that it reminded him of Alice's trick. She was a person—she was the chief's daughter. She was just an innocent human girl that had just been blessed with amazing blood that was like it had been created just for him.
