~ Y/n's pov ~

I knocked on the door, trying not to get too nervous. She unlocked it and then there she was. She was taller than me, and had dark brown hair tied neatly back in a bun and deep green eyes.

"Y/n, thank you for coming. Please, come imside" and with that I was in her office. To be honest, I was a blushing a bit, I didn't expect The Great Uniter to be so... endearing.

"Now," she started, "I was extremely impressed with your performance today as I'm sure you can imagine. Your skills are truly remarkable, like nothing I've seen before". She began pacing the room, staring out of the windows as she talked.

"Although, you can probably understand why I am a little suspicious. Many who joined the Earth Empire from the very start 3 years ago have done no were near as well as you have in 6 months" she stopped pacing right infront of me, stepping closer so I fell deeper into the trance of those emerald eyes.

"So, Y/n, what exactly is the secret behind your success?" She was really close now.

"Well, if you want the whole story..." I said.

"Please"

"I used to be a Kyoshi Warrior, which is one of the reasons I have good combat skills. I always agreed with what you do, The Earth Empire is the only way to help people, it's the way forward. Unfortunately the other Kyoshi islanders disagreed. I never hid my opinion, I tried to tell them how what you're doing is right, but they wouldn't hear of it. They started to cast me out a bit actually. I'd always wanted to join The Earth Empire anyway, so I decided that it was the right time, and I left. Since then I've been working so hard because I want to show the people of my home town how powerful your army is, and how strong I can become here. So, I've been rising through the ranks so quickly because I have had a purpose to do so, I've been driven by ambition. And that's about it, really". I let out a nervous giggle after I finished, had I really just told her all that?

"Interesting, very interesting" she slightly smiled to my surprise.

"I have a proposal for you, Y/n. Join my inner circle. I like you, your very determined. Help me conquer the rest of The Earth Kingdom".

For a second I stood there silently. Me, in Kuvira's inner circle?

"Yes, yes thank you!"

"Excellent. You can leave now. You'll start tomorrow as my second in command".

I froze on the spot. Second in command? I'd only just met her and she wanted me to be her second in command?

"But-but isn't Bataar Jr your second in command?" I asked still shocked.

"Baatar, despite his technological skills was weak. He is no longer my second in command or fiance, he's ran home to Suyin. So, you'll be my new second in command, won't you, Y/n?"

"Yes, thank you, Great Uniter" I said before leaving the office, my head stuffed full of questions.
