Steele's POV.
I quickly grew anxious when Allie hadn't come back in two days. She usually was back by now.
'Hey asshole, you're the reason she left!' My wolf would growl at me every so often.
I growled and picked up a lamp off the floor. In seconds, it was in pieces. I sent many trackers to search for Allie while I dealt with new rouge packs that were forming even this second.
I'm tired of waiting. The rouge packs can wait, I need to find my mate. I stepped over the glass and left the house. I started walking around the territory trying to catch her scent.
If it was still there it would be very faint.
Where would she go? I thought to myself as I kept walking. There was a very familiar smell that made my wolf jump with joy. I followed the trail that led me to a tree.
I looked around, confused. She wasn't at the tree where the trail led me. Three scents lingered in the air.
Allie's and two men. Both werewolf. My wolf wanted to take control over my mind to find out mate. I pushed him back, denying him.
I tried to follow the faint scents but they were growing weaker by the minute. The trail ended at the beginning of the wooded area. I was about to cross territories. I don't care. I want Allie back.
I know she thinks I'm a terrible person and I don't care about anyone, but she's wrong. I care about her a lot. My mind kept going to the worst possible scenarios. I tried to push those thoughts away but they kept coming back. I stepped across the border and went through area.
I wandered around for at least an hour. I stopped beside a tree and listened for something. I heard male voices in the distance. The were screaming something but I couldn't make it out. I walked closer to the noise. I kept walking not really paying attention where I was going. I felt something hard run into me.
I looked down, feeling a little pissed. That emotion vanished instantly. I saw Allie looking up at me in fear.
I opened my mouth to say something but Allie grabbed my hand and started running.
"Come on! Stop dragging your feet! Don't you see they are chasing me!" Allie yelled at me.
I didn't say anything. I just picked up my pace and followed Allie. We bolted across the border. I can't tell how long we have been running. All I know right now is that Allie is safe with me. We stopped running when we crossed the border. I knew the men would cross it but I think they would be to terrified once they saw me.
Our hands were still intertwined. Sparks went off at the feel of her skin on mine. The men never came in sight. Allie and I walked back to the pack house, in silence.
There was no one outside when we reached the door. Allie tried to unlock her fingers in mine but I wouldn't let her. She looked up at me, confusion filled her eyes. I guided her to our room and sat her on the bed.
"Allie, What happened? You were gone for two days." I sat beside her for the first time.
"I went to a tree and sat down after our argument. Apparently I had fallen asleep. Jesse kidnapped me. I assume he had drugged me, since I didn't wake up. He held me captive in a cell." She looked down at her hands. I followed her gaze and looked down at her burnt hands.
"What the hell happened?" I asked before she had a chance to continue.
"If you would let me finish the story. Anyway, the cell I was in was made of silver, so I couldn't escape. Jesse pulled me out and marked me. Something happened and I was unconscious again."
Rage boiled inside of me. I wanted to go and kill this Jesse guy for hurting Allie.
"He kept me in a cell the entire time. I had tried to escape but I couldn't. He hired two men to come down and beat the shit out of me since I wouldn't respect or listen to him. I finally talked Jesse to let me go to the bathroom. He was careless when he let me go in alone. I climbed out the window and ran. That's when you found me." She had a blank expression on her face.
I put my arm around her to give her a hug but she flinched. I pulled away looking at her.
"That hurts." She said it like she was a small child.
"Can I see?"
She nodded slightly and pulled up her shirt above her ribs. Her ribs were bruised badly. I looked away, by wanting to see what those men had done to her.
