Steele went back into the basement alone and stayed there for quite a while. I could hear things being thrown and hit.
Instead of avoiding him at all costs because, who in their right mind wouldn't? But, since I'm not in my right of mind, I went to the door that led to the dark and wet basement. The stairs look caved in, now that I am not rushing to beat the living hell out of someone, I can notice it.
"Steele?" I asked quietly, hoping his wolf could hear my voice.
Instead, I heard fists colliding with leather. I ran down the stairs and almost tripped.
"Steele! What are you doing?" I rushed. When I reached the last step, I dashed to the middle of the giant room.
It was all dark except for a small Ray of light that shine from... under a wall? I walked over to the wall and gripped the bricks, trying to move it. Another thump resounded throughout the basement.
I struggled with the bricks until the wall started moving. Apparently, I was pushing the wrong way. I pushed the wall up and a million dollar gym with glaring bright lights flashed in my face.
"Steele! Your sexy ass better be down here!" I growled.
I eventually opened my eyes and the sexy God stood in front of me, completely shocked.
"How did you get down here?" He asked.
"I could hear you. And I saw a light under the wall so I figured... why not check it out... the worst thing possible is I get killed. Big deal... right?" I shrugged it off.
"No, it is a big deal! Your brother would come looking for me! Well, I could easily take him out but if you got killed... its blood on my hands." He looked up at me through hooded eyes and I knew he was having an internal battle with his wolf.
I cocked my head to the side and just looked at him, a vain stuck out from his neck and bulged. It was kind of gross...
My eyes leaned towards the floor but then glanced up at the angry man.
"Why are you so angry? You've been down here for hours and still angry, although, I'm not quite sure why your angry to begin with!" I sighed, becoming irritated.
"You don't know why I'm angry?" He yelled at me from across the room. " I'm angry because my mate practically hates me and you are so careless! You could die, this pack is so fucking dangerous you could die at any moment. I can't always be there for you when you're in a situation." Steele threw a piece of scrap metal at a wall and it bent.
When he turned back towards me, I was still staring at the thick piece of metal that he bent.
"You almost broke that!" I walked towards the metal and tried picking it up but failed hilariously.
"Yeah, I almost break just about everything, according to you." He still was fuming.
"Yes, yes you do." I shook my head and Steele ran a shaky hand through his tussled hair.
"What's wrong with you? You usually don't give a shit about anything but now..." I wasn't able to finish my sentence.
"I don't know what's wrong with me! But it needs to be fixed. These feelings... they are not right!" He growled.
I rolled my eyes and turned to walk up the stairs. His hand grabbed my lower arm and he pulled me to his firm chest.
"You can't leave." Steele commanded, trying to use his alpha tone but it wouldn't work.
"Hey alpha, I'm not in your pack yet and once we complete the mating sequence, you still won't be able to make me bow down to you." I told him, my eyes stared straight ahead, not turning my head to make eye contact.
"I have to go now, I'll see you in a while." I unlatched his arms from my arm and walked up the stairs, out of the dark basement.
When the sunlight reached my eyes, I cringed. How long had I been down there? It didn't seem long.
I shifted into my wolf and we took off into the forest where we first attempted to flee from the alpha's grasp.
