And finally, the day arrived... The day of graduation. It wasn't that special like normal schools. The headmaster just gave a speech before letting us free.

I felt like a great weight had been taken off my chest... Now I just had to apply to one of the academies... Luckily with my grades, most should still accept me.

But I still had to thank one thing. This weird power of mine. Was it my semblance...? That'd explain a lot.

... No. I lied. I have more than just that to thank. I have Ruby and Yang to as well. They were a great help.

Right now I was just leaning against the outside of the building looking up. Looks like I might have to try and put a bit of effort into my classes huh...

I should. Honestly, the only reason I started going to the academies was that the pay would be great. I was planning on just choosing some small town and becoming a guard to live out my days peacefully.

But now... If I had this strength I would have to use it. It would go to waste if I didn't. So instead I'd actively go on missions and help those I can.

It sounds like a lot of work... But that doesn't sound too bad at all.

But I was snapped out of it when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned and saw Yang standing there with a smile. That looked a bit like a smirk...

"So how's it going? You don't look as happy as I thought you'd be." She said.

"Oh, I'm trying my best not to squeal with glee," I said my voice dripping with sarcasm.

She started to laugh and after a second I joined her chuckling alongside her.

This continued for a few seconds before we both quieted down.

"But I am happy. Just thinking about which of the academies to go to is all." I said with a shrug.

"Really? How about going to my academy? I'm planning on going to beacon."

"Maybe... That's a better reason than the rest. I'll try to see how it would be." I said nodding.

"Well if it helps if you go with me we can still train. That way you won't get rusty. And I think I'm getting those aura skills down."

"... Are you trying to get me to run off to another academy? You aren't exactly the most gentle when training with me," I said raising an eyebrow.

"Well... I admit that for the first times we trained I was just trying to see how strong you were. But now I'm... Fascinated by you?" She said tilting her head.

"Fascinated?" I asked confused.

"Yeah... It's weird. I'll admit it. I honestly thought that you were just some lazy bozo who was just going to the academy for personal gain."

"Wow. That hurts." I said with a sigh. But... It wasn't that far off from how I started my life at the academy.

"Not anymore though. It's like you're reaching your growing peak." She said shaking her head.

"Growing peak?" I asked confused.

"Yeah. It's like a growth spurt but for combat. Seriously... Just a few weeks and you almost caught up with all the other students."

"I'm just lucky to have a good friend to help me grow then."

"Haha... I guess that's true. Hey. How do you feel about going to a restaurant with me and Ruby? My dad and uncle were going to celebrate my passing."
