The new year was now in full swing and we were now well into February. In fact we were so into February that it was now valentine's day, the most romantic day of the year. Didn't really feel that romantic when you can't even be seen with your boyfriend. It made it worse that it fell on a school day so I had to spend all day surrounded by all the saps that believed that their high school love was their forever love. I've heard many people already state they believe the one they are with now is their one and only love- I say give it a few months then we'll see if it was forever.

Taylor was especially moody today, a mix of not being with her people and the whole college thing- that was weeks ago now but she still wasn't over it. The two of us were in English which today was especially torturous. Listening to Fin go on about love and relationships for an hour was not what I wanted.

"I hate valentine's day." I complain.

"at least you can see your valentine, mine are across the country."

"True but it's not like we can do much, we are kind of a secret."

"I mean that parts mainly on you for falling for you teacher."

"You could say the same about you and falling for people who live so far away."

"And they are going to continue being so far away." She reminds me for what can only be the hundredth time in the last fortnight; to the comment I just roll my eyes. I ran out of responses after the fifth time she said that, "sorry I forgot my problems don't matter. It's all about you clearly." She states turning to sit forward and ignoring me.

The work Fin set didn't actually take that long and most of us finished it early, bored seniors and hot teachers are not a good combination- that I was about to learn.

"Sir do you have plans for tonight?" someone asks.

"Oh yeah I do, just staying in tonight."

"Alone?" she questions, damn she is nosey.

"No, but who with is private and none of your business."

"Damn, I was hoping me and you could spend some time together." My head snapped in that direction and my eyes were shooting daggers.

"That would have never had happened, you're my student." Next to me Taylor scoffed and mumbled something under her breath- I wouldn't like to know what she said. Before anything else could be said the bell rings and the class is dismissed.

Taking my time packing everything up I end up being the last one in there, that made it easier to stay behind with no suspicion.

"That would have never happened, you're my student." I mock his earlier words.

"Like I've said many times, you are more than a student to me." He says pulling me into a hug, "happy valentine's day love." He says planting a kiss on my head.

"Happy valentine's day Finny." I say back.

"Surprise you even care about valentine's day; you don't seem romantic enough." He jokes.

"There is only one aspect of valentines I like and that is the chocolate." I joke.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"Your place at 5?"

"Yeah, just bring yourself."

"I was planning to." I tease.

"You know what I mean."

"I do it's just fun to mess with you."

"It's valentines you are supposed to be nice to me."
