"Hey you" Jackson smiled, bouncing up to me
"Someones in a good mood" I teased
"Yep"
"And why is that?"
"We're going to a party tonight"
"What do you mean 'we're'?"
"I mean, you and me are going to a party tonight at Sam's house"
"Like as in Sam Sullavin Vater?"
"Yes." He nodded
"But he's known for having outrageous parties! His house is huge and one time the cops had to go to his house to shut it down! I don't want to get into trouble."
"Oh come on, don't be a pussy. You'll be fine as long as you stay with me. I won't let anything bad happen to you,"
I trusted Jackson. He would never do anything bad to me.
"Okay fine. I'll go"
"Yes!" He sighed in victory
"What time does it start?"
"Around 8:00 or so. It doesn't really matter when we show up"
I nodded, "I'm going to go to the library. Do you want to come with me?"
"No, I'm going to tell Sam that we'll be going."
I hummed and gave him a quick peck on the lips before grabbing my bag and making my way into the library.
I never really had anywhere that felt safe. That was until I became close with Louis. He was my safe place. No matter where I was, as long as I was by his side, I was safe.
I'm just now realizing how much I talk about him. No matter what, I'll always find a way to bring it all back to that goofy brunette boy.
I slowly walked down the aisle of books, tracing my fingers against the spines. I had a list of books I wanted to read. Romantic tragedies. Or just traumatizing books. I skimmed the piles of stories until I found the books I wanted.
They Both Die at the End. A heart wrenching story.
It Ends With Us.
We Were Liars.
All very sad books. Right up my alley.
Took a seat at a large wooden table. The corners of the tables were chipped due to the amount of times things have bumped into them. I breathed in the scent of old books and smiled to myself before opening the first page of They Both Die at the End.
My eyes scanned the words, letting them all sink in. I was enjoying myself until I got a weird feeling. It felt like there were eyes boring into me.
I raised my vision and saw Louis across the room. His deep brown eyes glistening in the sunlight seeping through the stained glass windows.
We held eye contact for a while. It wasn't awkward but you could cut the tension with a knife.
The way we looked at each other was like we had so much to say. So many unsaid words waiting to be spilled.
Two teenagers, madly in love, but no way to show it.
I shot him a smile and a small wave, making him lower his eyes back on his book.
Did I do something wrong?
