Jungkook was engulfed by queasiness every time he entered the Red Palace. Ironically, he was shrouded with fascination the first time he visited the monument during a school field trip.
His fingers couldn't count the number of times he visited the Palace before to try and sketch its panels and possibly emulate traditional art onto his sketchbook.
"Where shall we begin?", Jungkook asked a calm Yoongi who was seated at the very centre of the Palace courtyard in the position of a Yoga guru.
"Sit next to me.", the exorcist gestured the young detective who took off his shoes and did as he was told.
The aroma emitted by the burning incense sticks and the eerie silence frightened Jungkook possibly not as much as the exorcist who sat beside him who had gone extremely still.
What if he had been possessed? No birds seemed to be chirping, and instead of the regular breeze which flushed Do-bong, a grotesque wind edged egregiously through town.
Jungkook gulped shakily. As an introvert, he was accustomed to the idea of silence, and found it comfortable. However, at that moment, he felt threatened beyond measure.
"What must I do, now?", he asked Yoongi in hopes of being entrusted with a task, however menial, to keep him away from wandering into his imagination.
Yoongi heaved a breath and turned towards Jungkook, agitation subtly marking his features.
"If you could stay quiet, Detective Jeon, it would be of great help."It seemed as if Jungkook had nothing else to do other than sit and wait.
Wait until this nonsense was over.
Wait until Do-bong was saved.
