The high-school was buzzing with people. After all, the annual soccer match was celebrated in Do-bong like a festival. Students were all over the stadium, distributing pamphlets and decorating the bleachers. Elders took their seats to watch the kids play while vendors set up small stalls to feed and entertain the spectators.

"Do-bong is perfect again!", Doctor Lee exclaimed merrily as Seokjin smiled. The weather was pleasant, the students were away from harm and the bewitched teachers had regained their composure.

"I brought hot dogs!", Jungkook and Namjoon carried snacks for the doctor and their superior who happily munched the delight.

Seokjin pushed his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose, taking another bite of the hot dog which was delectable. Suddenly, he felt a tap on his back. Turning around, he saw a young high-schooler, who wore a soft smile.

"Hello, Detective Kim! I'm Jimin.", he began. "I just wanted to say, thank you. Whatever you and the task force did for Do-bong, it's commendable. Us students are indebted to you.", he ended with a toothy smile which melted Seokjin's heart.

"Anything for Do-bong.", Namjoon gave a thumbs-up as Jimin bowed and walked away.

"Wow! You guys are the talk of the town!", Doctor Lee gleamed at the task force.

"Yeah, I guess. Now that things are back to normal, everyone is elated.", Seokjin spoke.

"Sure thing! Mr. Baek is back at scolding students for no reason!", Doctor Lee giggled whilst pointing towards the teacher who was chiding the girls for hooting too loudly at Jung Hoseok's clean goal.

Jungkook rolled his eyes. The match was thriving; Do-bong's team was leading with two goals, while the rival team had one.

"Well, I must get going. I have an urgent meeting.", Seokjin informed after finishing his hot dog.

"Oh! Can't it wait any longer?", Doctor Lee asked, disappointed.

"Sorry, Doctor Lee.", Seokjin smiled apologetically.

"A police detective's work never ends.", Namjoon spoke in a matter-of-factly manner. "Go ahead, we'll see you at the facility, hyung."

"Yeah! Have a good time!", Jungkook winked.

"Goodbye, Detective Kim!", a row full of girls waved giddily and Seokjin laughed before bidding farewell. "Say hello to all your superiors from our side.", one high-schooler smirked.

From the shadows, Seokjin noticed a reticent Yoongi smile.

The breakwater was a twenty-minute drive from the stadium. The weather was exemplary. The salty breeze blew Seokjin's hair as he unzipped his jacket and walked towards the very edge of the breakwater.

He could see his reflection on the surface of the clear, blue water. In a split second, he saw another reflection crystallize right beside his; familiar dark brown hair, and a signature smile.

The Devil smiled.
And, the spawn smiled back.
