Jungkook loved computers.
In fact everything about technology and the might of human creation fascinated him.

His fingers traced the rim of the new macbook which adorned his workstation at the facility. Its sleek design, striking sliver colour which radiated sunlight back from its surface sent shudders of excitement down his spine as he clapped his hands gleefully.

The laptop powered up by itself as Jungkook lifted the screen. Taken aback, yet utterly impressed about how he didn't even need to push the power button, his thoughts wandered off to a conversation he shared with Namjoon over drinks a few days ago.

"I seriously don't believe in supernatural things, or even Gods, for that matter. I wonder what's so fabulous about unearthly beings that old people are always obsessed with them."

"Neither do I. But, there are people who do. And, as members of society, we are supposed to value their opinion."
Namjoon clarified.

"My mum and grandma always chide me about being addicted to electronics.", the younger male rolled his eyes.

Namjoon snickered.
"Try reading a book once."

"Now you don't start, hyung! The older generation can appreciate myths but cannot admire the human brain? That's delusional."

ungkook sidelined from his thoughts, marvelling the beauty which stood before him at that moment.

When his phone rang, however, Jungkook shed his childlike enthusiasm, and responded to the call immediately.

"Jungkook!", tension laced Seokjin's voice like a snake coiling the trunk of a tree.

"Ms. Oh's mother has been murdered. Report immediately!"
