Trumpets rang as Ithilwen weaved through the crowd. Looking straight ahead she saw the men loading a small boat meant for the dwarves. Making sure Alfred and the guards weren't around, she was going to make a dash when someone grabbed her.

On reflex she drew her dagger but stopped seeing Thorin gripping her wrist. "Thorin, what in Valars name are you trying to do!" she whisper yelled. "Listen daughter of Thranduil."  the  dwarf prince whispered. The elf stopped surprised he talked to her in elvish. "What is it?"  she asked.

Thorin looked from left to right, then he back to the elf. "If I ever fall or become ill, I want you to keep Fili and Kili safe." appealed, preparing for the worst. Ithilwen was shocked, Is Thorin alright? she thought. Nonetheless she nodded her head for she too cared for the two dwarfs. "Of course, I cherish them both. I couldn't bear to leave them." she promised.

Thorin nodded in affirmation. Turning he weaved through the crowd towards the boat. The princess looked out as she watched the dwarf prince board the boat, pushing off the dock as the Lake Master, drunk as a pig, bid them farewell. Saddened she couldn't go to the mountain but happy she could stay and protect the others. Like she was meant to do.

-------

Ithilwen stared at Thorin, "Why would you want a human on your company?" fearing and curious if he saw through her identity. "You fight well, for a human, and Dis here tells me you've been helping her as well as the town." gesturing towards his sister. Ithilwen arched her brow as she slightly glared at his sister. Dis having been used to this, only smiled and continued to do the laundry.

Sighing, she looked to Thorin. "Very well but; Remember Thorin, like the others she gets a fair share of the treasure." his sister told, stopping what she was doing to look at her brother. A serious look.

The three looked to her as they watched brother and sister stare off. Laughing startled the three of them. Dis started to smile as well, but soon she whacked her brothers shoulder. "What's that laughing suppose to mean, huh?" she exclaimed going to whack her brother again. "It means that I agree." he explained raising his arms to block his sister.

His sister smiled, "Good. She's helped me and the boys alot." With that Dis returned to her laundry. Her brother laughed again. "Of course. I'd have it no other way. A great warrior deserves their prize. Even more so if they have faced a dragon no less." Thorin's voice boisterous making his family smile.

The memory of the event made her smile. She was pulled out of her solitude when she saw Kili fall onto his brother. Running and weaving through the crowd, reaching them she lifted the dwarf to sit up. "Hey. Hush its me!" she whispered putting her finger onto her lips. Taking a look at her friend her worry was inflamed when she saw how pale he was.

Lifting him up so he could lay on her back, crystal eyes looked around. Bofur tugged on her sleeve. Looking to him, he saw he was pointing in a direction. Following his line of sight, she scowled. "That swine will not help us!" venom filling her voice.

"Why not? I'm sure he'd help us." Bofur reasoned. Grabbing onto her cloak, he began leading her to the greasy slimes. She freed herself and left the group, taking Kili with her. "Where you goin'?" the dwarf asked. "That greasy slime won't help us!" she exclaimed over the crowd. "He's only interested in the fame and the gold." she yelled not looking back at him. Bofur sighed as he looked to Fili and Oin. "C'mon, lets go." he gestured continuing his way towards the lake master.

Fili shook his head as he went after his friend, Oin following him. The dwarf sighed as he began running towards the master. "Please! Wait!" Bofur yelled.

The two slimes sneered at him, watching as he approached them. "Please we need your help! One of us is sick!" he exclaimed, panting from running.

"SICK!" the pudgy man exclaimed. "Is it contagious!" hastily taking out a cloth, he put it over his face. "Go away, go away!" stepping away from the dwarf. As the dwarf tried to get help, the ellith made her way towards Bards home.

"Erayas you can put me down." Kili coughed as he lay limp against her back. "No way." her tone cold, leaving no room for argument.  "Erayas,"Fili said trying to get her attention, which failed. Calling her name several more times and failing every time, finally he had enough, "Ithilwen," his whisper harsh and desperate.

The ellith froze, her grip on the dwarf tight. Ithilwen rounded on him, her blue eyes shined with a glare prominent as her face sneered. The two stepped back, a little frightened since she was right in front of his face. "Sorry but," he apologized, scratching the back of his neck. "your still injured." pointing to her shoulder, reminding her of her own injuries.

A deafening silence engulfing the two. Ithilwen's brilliant blue eyes shown in dark of her hood, piercing Fili's soul. It's like I'm staring into a darkened tomb with no one around and all I can see is those eyes staring. As if circling me, wanting to kill me. Oin thought as he watched the two stare.

The dwarf jumped as the ellith gained his attention. "Oin go get Bofur.  The lake master only care of his own wealth." she hissed not taking her glare away from the blonde dwarf.

Quickly turning, her cape smacked Fili in the face, her boots creaking against the dock. "We'll meet you at Bard's home." she said. The old dwarf nodded, going towards Bofur. The blonde getting out of his stupor, he followed after the elliths fast pace.

"Wait Ithilwen," he frantically whispered, reaching for his brother but was unable to due to her height and the people walking around with their goods. "I am not as heartless as that man." she growled.
