Thranduil returned to his throne, irritated that no one could get the princess back. Not one soldier could get her back, not even Legolas could get her back. She's just as stubborn as her mother. Thranduil slowed to a stop, Meldamiriel. Thinking about his late wife, hissing sounded out through the hall. Quirking a delicate brow, he continued walking down the hall. His brow quirked more as he caught sight of Tauriel and Legolas , who was holding a knife at an orcs neck. Regaining his mighty aura he approached the orc and his son. "Well did you let her go again?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
"My King, she's stubborn." Legolas answered. The elven king scoffed. His attention turned towards the orc, which hissed at the three elves. Thranduil started to circle the orc, his hands behind his back. "Such is the way of evil, out there in the vast ignorance of the world, it spreads a shadow that grows in the dark. A sleepless malice as vast as the oncoming wall of night. So it is and so shall it be." glaring at the creature. "You were tracking a company of 13 dwarves, why?" Legolas demanded on answer, while pressing on the knife due to the orcs struggle. "Not 13, not anymore, the black haired archer," trying lurch forward but stopping due to knife. "we stuck him with a morgar shaft. Posion's in his blood, he'll be choking on it soon."
Tauriel breathed as she glared at the orc. "Answer the question filth."
"I don not answer to dogs, she-elf!" it exclaimed, lunging forward. Though Legolas pulled it back. Twisting and twirling her blade, a cold stare aimed at the orc. "I would not antagonize her." the prince warned. "You like killing things orc," you voice a whisper of anger. The orc gurgled at the auburn haired woman. "The let me give it to you!" leaping forward. "Enough!" Thranduil yelled. "Tauriel, leave!" a cold stare directed at her. Looking up from the creature to the king, she then glared at the orc. Sheathing her blade she left.
"I do not care about one dead dwarf. Answer the question. You have nothing to fear. Tell us what you know and I will let you go." he offered. "You were tracking the company of Thorin Oakenshield why?" Legolas asked again. "Dwarf runt will never be King!" growling the runt part. "King! There is not King Under the Mountain and there never will." the prince said. "None, would enter Erebor whilst the dragon lives." the knife tightening on the orcs neck. "YOU KNOW NOTHING!" it exclaimed interrupting Legolas just as he was about to say something else. "Your world will burn. My master serves the one." emphasizing "the one", for his name strikes fear into any who hear it. "That elfling will die soon!" it exclaimed in relish.
"What! What are you talking about?" Legolas asked. "Speak!" putting more pressure on the knife. Before the orc could continue, Thranduil beheaded the creature. Legolas still held the head, as he stood shocked. Looking to his king, he asked. "Why did you do that?" dropping the severed head. "You promised to set him free."
"And I did." Thranduil turned and stepped over the creatures body. "I freed its wretched head from its miserable body." voice cold as he pressed his foot against the writhing corpse. "There was more the orc could tell us." a bewildered expression on his face. The elf king paused looking down then at his son. "There was nothing more he could tell me." with a swish of his robes he walked away. "What did he mean by elfling?" he asked looking to his king. "It means that, that reckless child was shot while protecting one of the dwarves." sheathing his sword.
"I want all our borders doubled. Nothing leaves when I hear about it." turning to Legolas, "No one enters and no one leaves." his son nodded as he left. Turning to go down a hall his assistant came out of his office, looking to the king he followed after. "Send a letter to Lord Elrond. I want his best healers." he ordered. "Yes my king." he nodded. "Gather the troops and tell them to prepare for war and bring 4 times the supplies we need."
"Of course my king but may I ask why?" wondering about the extra supplies. "We will need allies to get those dwarves to comply no."
