An arrow shot towards one of the guards hitting him in the shoulder. An orc sprang up from the wall, growling at the dwarves. An small legion of orcs rushed towards the gate, a battle ensuing.  Orcs and elves battled while the company struggled to not get killed. Killi looked from where he was to see the lever for the gate was not far from where he was. Getting out of his barrel, he fought his way through, Ithilwen looking at him.

The elf's eyes were bright with hope looking around making sure none of the elves or anyone else had was watching him. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Bolg, drawing a black arrow aiming it at the black haired dwarf. Waisting no time she she stood up in her barrel and held her hand out in front and took the blow. The arrow piercing through her hand. "Gahh," she hissed. "Ithilwen!" Fili exclaimed, worried about the elf's safety.

While she was distracted the orc aimed again at Kili, and this time the arrow struck its target. The dwarf attempted to pull the lever but fell, gripping his leg in pain.  Ithilwen and Fili, looked up while Thorin, looked behind. Shock and fear in his face, "Kili no."

An orc charged towards him, suddenly an arrow was shot straight towards the its neck, killing him instantly.  The three turned to see Tauriel, running towards them. Yes, it's Tauriel, Ithilwen relieved that it was the captain of the guard and not her brother. Growling, Bolg ordered his legion to kill her.

Out of the bushes came Legolas, and the other guards. Damn it, should've known Legolas would come. Her crystal eyes then turned noticing her fathers guards were there as well. Father noticed I was gone, damn it. gritting her teeth she turned to Kili, just in time to watch him pull out the arrow, and pull the lever opening the gates. The dwarves exclaimed, surprised, since on the other side was a waterfall.

"Bilbo, hang on!" she warned the hobbit as the two approached the falls. Diving down into the water the ellith gasped for air as the two resurfaced. Smiling to herself, she relished in her freedom again, but stopped and looked behind her, hearing what she feared most. Not Bolg ordering the orcs to go after the company but the sound of Thranduils voice, "What are you waiting for get the princess back, now!"   Growling, she looked ahead, brandishing her swords, killing any of the orcs that came after her or her companions. Looking to the side she saw a flash of sliver gold, turning she saw her father on his elk, killing any orc that dared to come near him. Gritting her teeth she prayed that the rapids would come soon.

Her wish was granted, the company came upon the rapids, repeatedly swallowing them under the water. Putting her swords away she held onto the hobbit with her uninjured hand as they rapids sunk her under. Continuing down the rapids, dodged and ducked underneath the orcs attacks. Ithilwen watched as an orc aimed for Bombar, piercing the barrel but not the dwarf, head butted the creature forcing it to be swallowed by the river.

With the spear still lodged into it, the barrel went onto the land. The dwarf inside tumbling with it, Bombar crushed any and all orcs that came in his way. Bombar's barrel eventually stopped and as orcs surrounded him, the dwarf sprang to action. Pushing against the underside of the barrel, allowing the dwarf to stand, the ellith watched as the dwarf used the wood as armor. Fighting off the orcs while making his way back to the river. Jumping into an empty barrel, the pudgy dwarf rejoined the comanny.

Ithilwen smiled but then saw Legolas avoided an arrow, running out of log, he jumped onto Balin and Dwalins heads/faces much to the dwarves chagrin. The blonde shot the orc, the corpse crashing into the water. Legolas jumped turning to face the front, while balancing on the dwarves foreheads he shot his arrows. His sister glared at him, though she ducked and swung her swords at the orc, killing it. A rock came in between the two dwarves causing Legolas to balance with only one foot and shoot  at the enemy. Ithilwen was not surprised to find her brother could do such a feat. However she didn't find it amusing when he used her companions heads as stepping stones. As Legolas passed his sister there eyes locked, Ithilwen silently pleaded for him to let her go. Scowling he continued onwards to attack the orcs on land. Sighing with relief she continued to hold onto Bilbo.

Just as Legolas kicked an orc off the ledge and into the water another came up behind him. Raising its club about to smash him, Thorin threw his weapon instantly killing it. Ithilwen looked to the dwarf prince surprised he'd down that. Legolas watched as Thorin disappeared behind the rocks. His storm grey eyes then turned to his sister a smile on her face as she continued down the river.

The lieutenant of the orcs came behind, beginning to draw the bow string back, firing the arrow it went straight towards the blonde. Arrow pushed arrow away as Tauriel made a battle cry, the orc squealing. Just as she had him in a neck lock about to deliver the final blow. The elven prince stopped her. " Tauriel, wait!" turning to face the ellith, he glared at the orc. "This one we keep alive"
