(Francis Scott) Chapter 2: Frankly, I don't care

"Mom, I'm home"

"Oh! Welcome home Francis" 

I sat on the couch, trying to find a solution, but, what can I do? I have always been a burden to my family, a kid who always makes mistakes. 

"Mom, what happens when I -- "

"Hm?"

"No, never mind, I'll go take a shower and go down for dinner"

I left the living room and took a shower, beginning to lose my pride, but, I will never give up!

I ran down the stairs and took a snack from the fridge

"Wait, where are you going?"

"I need to go!" I took my bicycle and went to the public library. Yes, my solution will be studying! Suddenly, my brain worked like a computer, fast and acceptable. My first weekly goal will be exercising my brain. 

After a week of  studying, my mind carries my problems away, and began to see the key to my success. 

Ding Dong! The bell rang

It is time for the 1st weekly exams, but this exam is different than before, our surname will be called alphabetically and go to each room alone, since my surname is Scott, I still have time to calculate. 

The exam will last  in 10 hours. We have 11 subjects in total so one subject will remain if I answer each one in one hour, the total of numbers in each subject will have 50 items, if  I could answer  each question in one minute then 10 minutes will remain in total, I will use that time to answer another subject, then 10 subjects will be answered in this pattern, the remaining 10 minutes will be the time I will answer on the last subject. Yes, I'll stick with this plan!

I'm still not being called, but I managed to finish my plan before my time.

"Hey look, it's Louis from class 1!"

"Really?! Let me see!"

Huh? Who are they talking about? --- 

"Louis!!!" I clearly remembered how the girls sitting on the bench stood up the balcony and screamed his name

Huh? He is already finished?!

"FRANCIS SCOTT PLEASE PROCEED TO ROOM NUMBER 15"

"oh!" I jogged towards the room, and as I went inside, the atmosphere was breathtaking, there is only one chair, it's for me.

"Please sit. I will be your advisor for today's exam, I'm William Tolkien, ask me something when you really need it."

"Thank you sir."

Huh? The questions are surprisingly harder than I thought.....One minute, that's it, I will just have to push myself from my limits!

5:30 PM

"Thank you so much!" I told Mr. William with the smile on my face

"No need to thank me, you finished the exam without my help"

"Yes sir." I left the room happily

Jumping down the stairs and I saw him, Louis, there was something in my heart making me want to win and be at the top, it was because I was envious of him, but....

"Hey Louis, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Don't want to"

"Only a minute."

"..." he became silent and stared at me like a predator, then he spoke....

"Talk."

"Help me"

"Hm?"

"Help me win this game, and I'll repay you"

"What exactly?"

"I will give you, ten thousand yen."

"No--"

"Ha! I knew you would say that, too bad for you" I walked away from him, knowing that he would go and catch up to me--

Huh? He's not stopping me? That look in his eyes, he is outsmarting me. It looks like he knew that would happen. 

Louis Hawks, if you'd still be looking down on me, that will make us rivals.
