I looked up into its eyes, with question in my eyes and confusion on my face. It shut its mouth, as if giving my brain time to process.
I looked at that creature from top to bottom, trying to remember every detail. For the first time I noticed its hair (was it even hair?). The hair too was a colour that cannot be defined, but it wasn't the same color of it's mouth.
Its mouth was a blank type of colourless colour; while it's hair was a silvery type of colourless colour - like a metallic rainbow.
I was bewildered! It was a colour I can't explain! How was this possible?
I wanted to faint. But instead I stared at it.
My eyes were open to the point of bursting, I was unable to speak or breathe, and my mouth was open as wide as the pacific.
I was still looking at its hair - that had no shape or form, no colour or shade, and no defined length.
I was suddenly struck by a wave of calmness. I consoled myself that it was a dream -that clearly defined what I saw. But even in dreams, how was it possible to dream something so abstract? There was a terrible battle going on in my head.
Just as I was calming down a bit, the creature started speaking. What I heard from its mouth just overwhelmed me, and I was sure that my brain had already burst. I then cared no more about what I understood or not, I just concentrated all my senses to that little thing on my finger.
It then started speaking very rapidly. It produced a set of unknown sounds, that changed very drastically.
Once the sound was a loud screeching noise, and then it changed into a low hum. Then for a long period I couldn't hear anything, although its lips were moving. Then its voice changed again, and a huge blast of air struck my face. It was like a sonic boom. I could see transparent waves coming from its mouth. The sound came with a lot of momentum. It was like a supersonic sound coming from a huge stereo.
Then it changed into a human voice, speaking in an unknown language. Then it changed again, now in a rapid frenzy of clicking and chuckling; then it changed again and again and again and again and again.
Then it stopped all of a sudden, and a beam of light shot straight out of its mouth. The beam sprang to my forehead. It stayed there for a couple of heartbeats, and then shot back into its mouth.
Now when it spoke, it spoke in English. Finally, a language I can understand. It said -
"Well, I apologise; but it is rather difficult to confine all my energy. Anyways, let's just get to know each other first."It paused and then said,
"Hello Ana."Its voice was fluent, calm and musical. I noticed that its lips didn't move in the same way as its words. I thought maybe the beam had made me understand what it said instead.
I didn't bother about it. I had lot of questions running in my mind. The first one being -
"How do you know my name?", I asked in a very weak voice.
The creature smiled a toothy smile; but where its teeth should have existed, was an uneven variation of teeth, fangs and some unknown forms. It was like a museum of teeth and non teeth.
I stared at it in utter amazement. I was horrified.
The smile had destroyed the creature's beauty. The creature didn't look scary, but it was gross. I distracted my mind from its ugly smile, and thought to myself - smiles are supposed to make one look better.
As if reading my thoughts, the teeth disappeared. In their place came out a proper set of perfectly shaped, white, and sparkly teeth. It made the creature look distractingly beautiful.
This change was too much for me to handle, after all that I had seen.
My head was already paining, and spinning like a Merry - go - round. My eyes felt really heavy now. My knees buckled, and I slumped down on the floor. I lay there on the floor, and took a deep breath.
I didn't care about the creature or the green thing now. I didn't care to get my answers.
I heaved a sigh, and lost all my senses.
