Chapter 25 - Escape

"Move off of her. Now." He stood
"Now why-" *BANG, BANG*
His body collapsed to the ground, I froze in shock, still crying.
"Did he?" the boy trailed off
"No... Thank you" I sniffle
"Come on, " he walked over unstrapping me from the table, being careful not to touch me.
"Where?"
"You don't deserve to be here," he said checking the hallway before motioning for me to follow him.
"Pietro will meet us at the tunnel" he spoke, shooting every guard insight as I followed him.
"Pietro?"
"Yes, you both shouldn't be here, and he explained that Wanda is alive. I've been here long enough to know he would do anything for his sister,"
"Why are you helping me?" I ask
"Because before SHIELD came down they took some of us to these bases in hopes that we would help them rule the world." He said pulling me into a dark hallway.
"That still doesn't explain why you're helping me," I whisper.
"I work for the SSR, I've been undercover for the last 8 years,"
"So you're?"
"26, I look younger than that though. Hence why they recruited me because people tend to believe kids more than adults." He explained, shooting another guard.
"But I thought the SSR turned into SHIELD" I said
"Most of it yes, but Peggy came up with the idea to keep a small part of the SSR in case something happened to SHIELD, we were tasked to go undercover into enemy territories and release people like you and pietro." He uttered
"So you're like Emily Prentiess before joining the BAU?" I ask
"Uhh sure"

We made it to an old sewer tunnel where Pietro was hiding and waiting for us.
"You got it?" he asked
"Yup," he said, holding up a key, walking up to Pietro unlocking an ankle band.
"Thank you, Aaron" he sighed a breath of relief.
"Aaron? That's your name?" I ask
"Yes" he nods "Come, I checked for guards but we don't have much time, shifts are switching"
"Ok" I spoke
"Here's where we are, "Aaron said, taking out a map. "Take this trail down till you see a stream, it should be flowing downwards, if not then you did something wrong. I'll meet you here at the south Mountain, there will be a cabin there where you can hide out if you get there before me," Aaron said, giving us a map.
"Thank you, for everything," Pietro said as
Aaron gave me a bag.
"It's my job" he smiled and nodded.

3rd POV

Thor left for Asgard, the magic whatever was just floating in the lab glowing, Steve and Nat still were gone, and Tony, Bruce, and everyone else just sat around feeling hopeless.
"I know we're supposed to be working and helping the world in all but-" Sam started to say
"Seems impossible cause we're all worrying about Y/n?" Bucky spoke, finishing Sam's sentence.
"It's been almost over a week since she's been gone, what if-" Wanda spoke
"No, we're not going to let that happen," Steve said walking in.
"I thought you guys were going to be another couple hours?" stark spoke
"Plans changed, but we set cameras up to get facial recognition, but this *setting down the briefcase on the glass table* is more important, "
"Does this ever end?" Banner mumbled
"Nope," Nat said walking up behind Steve
"So what do we got here?" Tony said, opening up the case.
"Holy-"
"Don't finish that sentence"
"Is that?" banner said putting his glasses on
" Possibly highly explosives or some bad serum stuff of some sort, yeah" Nat clarified
"Oh boy," Sam said, leaning back in his chair.
"Look, it's late let's just go to bed and deal with this in the morning" Tony suggested
"But-" Wanda started to say
"Darling, I have to agree with Mr Stark, it's very late and we all need rest" vision spoke
"Dude you're legit a robot" Sam pointed out, which made Wanda turn to him, making her eyes red with anger.
"Uhhh no he's not" as Sam sunk into his chair.
"Technically I am, but even robots need our rest" vision laughed
"I want to see everyone at 9 am at the earliest" Steve said walking away.
"Hey I was gonna say that!" Tony shouted
"I did it first!" Steve yelled laughing
