Chapter-31: Fear to Love🌼

Faith and doubt are needed not as antagonism. When someone seeks glory, he/she doesn't need the antagonism and sometimes he/she feels alone in the presence of his/her antagonist personality, as he/she is unpleasant company.

Gabi observed Cami, who was sleeping beside her. Particularly, she noticed that Cami always scrunches her nose after a few minutes just like her Dad. She lifted her finger to trace spots on her face but stopped herself in the meantime. She wanted to touch Cami's face. However, she was scared that she would also get vitiligo. Even though she does know Vitiligo is not a contagious disease, she doesn't have the inner courage to get closer to Cami. In her life, everything is like a perfect bubble. At the same time, Cami's vitiligo scares her every time she looks at her. She felt ashamed of her thoughts, her doubts, and generally, she felt guilty, because, whenever she touches Cami, she bathes her hands not once, not twice, but thrice. When she saved Cami, she sanitized her hands after every minute more than three times. She motivated herself, "I'll just touch her spots, and she won't know anything.".

She then tried again to touch her face but stopped. She was struggling and her fears were bigger than her concern for herself. She retreated her hands when Robert held her hand gently and staring at her in a carefree way.

He formed a huge smile, stating "You know, she is sleeping. She won't mind if you touch her."
Gabi released her hand from his grip "She is a freak. I don't want to get infected."
Robert closed his eyes and sighed. After some time, he mentioned, "She is not. Don't talk like illiterate. That's ill-mannered behavior. You are just scared that you may love her like everyone else."

Gabi raised one of her eyebrows because he hit a nerve and she immediately replied, "No, I'm not scared of her. Nothing can frighten me."

Robert smiled that she didn't deny loving Cami and gently held Gabi's hand. Interlocking his fingers with her, he tried to make Gabi touch Cami's face. Gabi wasn't ready and she shook her head right and left before she could release her hand. She was touching her face, tracing all the spots on her face. She smiled and unknowingly whispered, "Beautiful." Robert blinked his eyes, as he heard Gabi's comment and hummed in response.

All of a sudden, a screaming voice echoed off the walls of the spacious room. Cami loudly shouted "Ahhh". That was the moment when Robert and Gabi both got completely startled and clutched their chest due to terror that had been provoked. Clutching his chest, Robert panted and asked with worry written all over his face, as he was paying attention to her disheveled appearance "What happened?".

Gabi was also breathing hard and her eyes were widened. Cami scared the shit out of them. Cami looked here and there "I had a nightmare of that nurse with the lethal injection."

"Aish...you brat. You scared us." Robert commented, patting his chest to calm down his heartbeat.

Cami shrugged her shoulders lightly as if nothing had really happened and then she turned her attention to Gabi, who had already woken. Cami was about to wish her a good morning, but Cami sneezed on Gabi's face, making her froze. Gabi made a grimace and instantly touched her face feeling disgusted, and shouted "DAD".

That was the moment when Robert simply held his ears and closed his eyes shut, as both girls started shouting and fighting. Then, he exited quickly before they could notice him.

Isabella, wearing a maxi, red dress, was holding coffee for all of them and walking down the street without caring about anything at all. As soon as she reached the ward, she carefully noticed Cami, who was struggling in Robert's lap. He was making twisted expressions of discomfort as he was having a difficulty in controlling Cami. At the same time, Gabi was glaring at Cami, who was making faces.
