Veronica sighed as tears slipped down her bloody eyes. Today was the day when she would've been adopted by Lily. Her dream would've come true. She would finally be a part of a family.

"It... hurts... so much..."

'I wish I would've at least seen the ending of One piece. I was still waiting for the next episode to come out... And finish Boruto too... Lily said we could watch Naruto Shippuden again after we finished Boruto...

I forgot to delete my browser history from big sister's computer too. I hope she won't be mad at me for watching all those things... Fuck... This hurts like hell...!

Damn. It would be nice to hear Tokyo ghoul's Unravel right now instead of these ambulance sirens. I wonder what's gonna happen to me now...'

She wanted to cry yet no tears would come out. She remembered how her whole life was filled with regrets. She wished she was in her arms, she wished she could've said goodbye, she wished she could listen to her scold her one more time. She wished she could see the two of them one last time.

Once the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don't cry. They just turn silent. Completely silent.

'WHY DOES EVERYTHING HURT SO MUCH?! I THOUGHT I DIED!!! GOD DAMMIT! THIS HURTS WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!!'

Veronica opened her eyes but water entered her eyes. She hurriedly closed them and guessed she was probably drowning. She tried to move her arms and legs to swim up but she couldn't. Every time she tried she would experience a terrifying amount of pain.

Suddenly she felt her body being pulled upwards. It hurt a lot but for some reason her voice wouldn't come out.

She tried opening her eyes when she felt she was out of the water. The sight amazed her. It was as if the water[?] had a mind and heart of its own. It had helped her get on a piece of log floating away to god knows where.

'Why does everything seem animated? Its so weird... Maybe I'm just seeing things...

How did I end up in this river anyways?'

Veronica tried to tear her clothes to make some bandages of some sort but even after trying so hard nothing happened. Veronica was going through too much pain and moving only made it worse.

'Maybe this water could help me...? No... I can only use it for drinking if it gets inside my wounds it may do more harm. I can only hope someone can find and help me before I die.'

Veronica felt someone staring at her and turned to look at who it was. There were two men rushing towards her. She felt glad that she wouldn't have to die.

The two men applied pressure on her wounds and wrapped her in bandages. One of them carefully picked her up and ran towards what she presumed to be their village of some sorts.

'Now that I look closely... He looks like Kakashi. And that one looks like guy. They even move as fast as them...

AM I IN NARUTO?!!! HOLY MOTHER OF SATAN!'

Veronica couldn't handle the new shock and passed out.
