Nerissa's POV

It's Monday again and here I am, sitting in the most boring class ever, which is microbiology with the most boring professor ever. Di bale, second to the last subject naman na ito. Nakinig na lamang ako habang nagdoo-doodle.

TING TING!

Finally.

I grabbed my bag and went out of the room nang may biglang tumawag sa akin.

"Nerissa! Hey!" napalingon na lang ako at aking nakita si Trevor. Those maroon tees and his denim jeans with a pair of sneakers suit him perfectly. Adding to it, is his slightly tousled dark brown hair. Goodness. What the hell are you saying Nerissa.

"Oh... Hello." I replied and smiled. I just realized that he did not call me 'Nessa'. What's up with him?

"May klase ka pa ba? Uh," sabi niya habang ang kanyang kamay ay nasa may batok niya. "I want to show you something."

Hm. Ano kaya iyon?

"Yeah. Pero, ano ba yung gusto mong ipakita sa 'kin?" I asked. A hint of disappointment was etched on his face. "After the next subject, free na ako."

I saw him smile and chuckle. "Well then, I'll wait for you here."

"Hey..." napalingon ako sa aking katabi at hindi ko man lang napansin na si Theo pala iyon.

"Hi Theo! I'm sorry 'di kita nakita." I said.

He laughed and said, "Okay lang. It seems like, Ms. Bluewaters is in deep thoughts. Is something bothering you Nerissa?"

"It's nothing Theo! Ano ka ba!" sagot ko naman at ginulo ang buhok niya.

"So, do you want to hang out afterwards?" tanong niya.

"U-uh. We'll... be going somewhere Theo." I said. Haay. 'We' Nerissa, may Q&A portion na naman tayo niyan.

"With whom?---"

"Good afternoon class. Settle down and we'll start." said Ms. Frost, our English teacher.

Umayos na ako ng upo and so as Theo. Thank you for saving my life Ms. Frost!

English is an interesting subject. It is where you are free to express your emotion and imagination, well, aside from arts. It will give you the opportunity to be in a whole different world, to live in a different situation, to feel something different and to run away from all the worldly problems you are facing...for a while.

"Nerissa, maybe next time, pwede tayong lumabas?" Theo asked as we were walking towards the parking lot.

"Oo naman... Pasensya na talaga Theo." I said.

"Sige Neriss---" Bigla kaming napatigil dahil sa isang itim na Chevrolet Camaro na pumrada sa aming harapan. Bumukas ang bintana nito at nakita namin si Trevor. Talaga naman.

"Hindi ako sanay na pinaghihintay Nerissa. I stayed here for almost an hour." sabi niya at nakatingin lang sa unahan.

"'Wag mong pagsalitaan ng ganyan si Nerissa Trevor." said Theo.

"Nangingialam ka na naman." Trevor replied in a cool tone and smirked. Bumaba siya ng sasakyan at lumapit sa akin. "Come on Nessa... When you see it, I know you'll love it." he said as if we were the only one standing there and opened the door for the shotgun seat.

Napatingin ako kay Theo. Mukhang nalungkot siya at tumango na lamang.

I wanted to speak, but then I am loving the silent atmosphere in the car. The minty smell of his car satisfied me.

"Malapit na tayo Nessa." he said as he glanced at me.

Nag-iisa lamang kami sa mahabang daanan at. Medyo mabilis ang pagpapatakbo ni Trevor. All I can see are the tall trees dancing with the breeze and the sun setting down. The sky was like an artwork colored with orange, red, violet and blue oil pastels.

"Where are we going?" I asked, almost a whisper.

"Trust me Nessa. We are near." he replied as he placed his right hand on mine. Biglang nangatog ang mga paa ko at namawis ng malamig ang noo ko. Wala na lang akong nasabi kundi tumango.

3rd Person's POV

Nerissa clung tightly into Trevor's arm as they wandered through the forest.

"Nessa, don't be afraid. I'm here with you, okay?" She bit her bottom lip and closed her eyes gently.

The moment she opened her eyes, her jaw dropped in amazement as the guy beside, looked at her closely. The place was no forest at all. Lamp posts with red flames stood all over the place. The huge 10 feet ark sign saying 'ערפדים' welcomed them. Several camps were situated throughout the area. Walang katao-tao sa paligid maliban sa kanilang dalawa. At the farthest part, an enormous tent can be seen. As you look up, eagles are circling overhead in the dark sky with the full moon lit.

"This is my place, Nessa." sabi ni Trevor as he gazed around. "This is where we belong."

"You brought me into a whole different world Trevor."

"Not yet." he whispered. "Just hold my hand and I'll take you to a place you've never seen before."

When the two of them started walking, the flowers all over sparkled like a million fireflies! The green grass grew from the dirty soil. The camps vanished, along with the sudden wind that blew, making Nerissa's long silky brown hair fly. And now, tall stone towers appeared, the lamp posts were taller than what they saw a while ago, white bats flying all over the place. At the other side, the falls with reddish water seemed to have caught Nerissa's attention. Trees are dancing along the breeze. And the moon was like a giant marble floating in the purple skies!

"Trevor, I... I... It's different. This is more like a paradise than a Vampire's place." Nerissa said amusingly.

"I know... Maybe, you just believed the wrong thing Nessa. People are such stupid creatures... always making something up for them to benefit." Trevor stated. "And now, you will be one of us... officially."

"Pero Trevor, ibig sabihin ba nito... hindi ko na pwedeng makasama sina mama?"

"No, no, Nessa. May mga magbabago lang but not everything... Can you see that castle over there? Pupunta tayo doon at maaayos ang lahat."

Muling luminga si Nerissa sa paligid at nakita niya ang dalawang batang lalaki palapit sa kanila.

"Maligayang pagbabalik sa inyo o dakilang Roman! Nagagalak kaming makita kang muli..." sabay nilang sabi at lumuhod habang nakayuko. Trevor pulled them up and said: "Ako pa rin naman ito Marikko at Sebastian. Ako pa rin ang Kuya Trevor niyo hindi ba? At saka, hindi pa naman ako ang Roman." sabay tawa.

"Kung gayon, sumama muna kayo sa amin Kuya." sabi ni Marikko atsaka tumakbo ang dalawa. "At ang ganda naman ng iyong sinisinta!" pahabol pa nila.

Nagkatinginan na lamang si Trevor at Nerissa.

Halatang namula ang pisngi ni Nerissa at napabuntong hininga naman si Trevor.

"They are one of my closest friends here. Makukulit nga lang..." he said and smiled lightly. "You're blushing again! Halika na nga! Before we go to that big thing over there (points towards the castle) I want you to meet someone first."

"Huh, sino?" she asked.

"Basta! Halika na nga rosy cheeks!" he teased which earned him a good punch on the arm!

"Psh." then he took her hand and ran away.
