Chapter 5- Portal

'Hello class I just wanted to say that next Friday we will have prom' said Mrs Lin the high school Principle
The class was excited unlike twilight she wanted the ring and the portal
That night twilight and Cedric saw Esmeray sitting next to the fireplace reading a book
'This is our chance' she whispered eagerly 'see what she's doing and grab the ring'
They sneaked up on her making a move for the ring when she closed shut the book and looked down at them
'Hellooo?? Are you spying on me?!'
'Uh' Cedric and twilight looked at each other awkwardly 'no no definitely not!' Twilight lied
'Yea right..' Esmeray took a deep breath'STOP LYING AND TELL ME WHAT DO YOU WANT' she yelled
'WE need your ring' answered Twilight in a loud tone
'Well you are not getting it after this' said Esmeray storming back to the dorms
'We failed' sighed Cedric
Next morning
Twilight and Cedric were in the library trying to figure out the portals locations but man after all of that they still didn't give up but then Esmeray suddenly approached them scoffing
'Fine I'll help you'
Twilight beamed a smile 'I knew you would'
'BUT on 1 condition you don't annoy me' Esmeray said bossily
'YIPPY' Twilight jumped out of joy
'Meet me after school' Twilight whispered
Esmeray nodded
After school Esmeray and Twilight met up at the library
'What's that in your hand' asked Twilight
'That's a pendulum' replied Esmeray 'it will help us track down the portal'
'Ok let it do it's job I guess' sighed Twilight
'Show it to me' whispered Esmeray
The pendulum started pointing east as they kept following it changed directions and finally it brought them to the biggest painting in the library
'Oh wow well that's lame' exclaimed Twilight 'no it's not wait.. behind the painting of coarse!'
Esmeray and Twilight started pushing the painting away as the cold breeze went through
'A tunnel' gasped Esmeray
'Should we go?' Asked Twilight
'It's too dark ,hold on' replied Esmeray making a moon ball appear in her hand that gave out light
'Alright let's go' Esmeray nodded
As they were walking down the tunnel they saw cobwebs different signs and other creepy stuff
When they got to the end there was a ripped up curtain hanging covering the entrance
'Should we go in?' Asked Twilight
'That looks sketchy but that's what we came for' answered Esmeray
As they walked in they saw a giant weird gold,metallic machine
'Woah' muttered Twilight under her breath
'Look there's a book it says 'how to activate the portal' read Esmeray
'Piece of cake' said twilight confidently
'No definitely not we need to wait for the red full moon which will be..'
'During Prom!' They both exclaimed
'Awh man can't you just make it happen Esmeray' Twilight said eagerly
'I can't' she replied sadly
So we wait
Thought twilight
As they left behind the curtains was an evil chuckle with an evil grin
'Perfect'
