" Stop interfering and go away, Ruth", Riftan said surprisingly in a nice matter. " I'm not here to bother you, so relax" " Say whatever you want to say and leave", Ah shit never mind... " Hah, even a dog wouldn't growl like that. Here, this is a magic fire stone. It contains warming magic so one can stay warm if they hoel it", Ruth said as he heald out a red glowing stone. " Is it for me...?", I ask as I hear Riftan huff beside me. " Who else? The people lying over there can be in their underwear in the snow and still sleep like a log", Ruth said in a duh tone. " Right..", I said embarrassed. " But it's different for you, madam. From what I can tell, You don't have great physical strength...If you catch a cold, the one suffering would be me. I'm taking preventative measures", He explained as he leaned his face closer to me. " Thank you, sir... Ruth", I say with a big smile on my face. "... I'm not a knight, I'm a magician. Just call me Ruth", He said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. " Well... In my opinion magicians are cooler...:", I said as I looked down at the crystle. " Go to sleep. You're tired, right? Prepare to leave at dawn tomorrow", Riftan said to me as his eyes screamed for Ruth to leave. I just giggle at how protective he can get before lying on my side as holding the crystal in my hands slowly drifting to sleep.

How many days have passed? We've been camping since the first day and I've gotten used to it. But the problem is... Is he avoiding me? His excuses were always half assed... " Theres a lot of luggage so I'll ride the horse" " The carriage is to some so sleep alone" " The night watch.." " The ground his damp so sleep in the carriage", was his excuses some of them were valid but some just didn't make sense... Does he find me irritating now...? Just sitting around gets so boring I wish I had ink or something so I can draw on myself. " Woah woah, let's take a break before we continue", I hear Riftan say as the carriage stops before he got off his horse and opened the door for me. " Looks like we're camping out again" " At this pace, it'll take more than a few days to even leave the forest... tsk", Was what I heard as I stepped out they all seemed pissed on how slow we were going I mean who can blame them? My legs are numb from sitting to long... " Ah shit", Was all I said before my legs buckled underneath me. But luckily Riftan caught me before I could hit the ground. I thought he would just let me down the the ground again but he carried me somewhere. " Riftan what are you doing?", I ask as he sat me down on a rock near by. He didn't answer but just started looking at my ankle seeing if it was ok. " I'm fine you don't have to-" " Is this a habit?", He cut me off. " What ?", I ask confused at his question.

" The only thing you say is that you're fine", Riftan clarified. " I'm really fine... Sorry for being a berden", I said unconsciously. He freezes on what he was doing at looked up to me with confused face. " I find you a... burden?", He repeated my words. " You know... you keep telling me to sleep alone at night so I thought you got tired of me...", I explained in a low voice. Riftan...!", Was all I could get out before he pushed me against a tree as he looked down at me. " H-hey", I said getting worried now. " Haa... I'm doing craz. Fuck", he mumered out. He continued to look down at me as I felt him slip hsi and around my waist pulling me closer to him. " This is how I'm around you. Do you know how painful it is?", He finally said. " So if you don't want to arouse me...haa. I'm not sleeping alone because you irritate me. Rather... It's my problem", He added on with a blush before turning around to where the carriage is. " The journey is rocky, but please bear with it. There's a lookout point ahead. You'll be able to rest there", was all he said before I couldn't see him anymore.

It took me a second to process what he said before it clicked in my head... " Oh you horny man!", I shout out as I started making my way to the carriage laughing. " Already done, Chef? That was quick~", The guy with the red hair teased that just made me laugh more. The knights to seemed to be confused for me t be laughing and sundly shout out what I said earlier but didn't questioned me. We stared to start leaving again going thru towns before we came to a stop. " The weathers pretty bad so if we want to get to the anatol by today, we have to take the shortcut. Would you be fine with riding a horse with me?", Riftan asked as he looked over to me. " U-uh sure..!", I answered before getting out of the carriage and getting on his horse. " The trial is rough so you'll be shaken left and right. Lean on me if you get tired", Riftan informed me. " Depart", Was all he said before we started to move and get going .

I never knew that horseback would be uncomfortable but I'll manage. It was a long ride as I patted and petted the horse as they all talked. " Monsoon season have arrived. Ha, just thinking about it makes me depressed" " What are you worried about? We'll arrive soon" " Did you forget? We have to leave for the imperial palace after arriving to anatol", Was what they were walking about I just got all confused on what they were talking about. " Chef! There are five werewolves ahead!", One of the knights said as he started going ahead. " Werewolves...!", I said underneath my breath feeling like a kid for some reason. " Don't let them reach here!", Riftan commanded. " Don't worry! I'm itching to kill", one of them said before they went off. " Y/n, It'll be over soon,so close your eyes", Riftan said as he got off the horse. " That will not b-" " Chef! Above you!" was what I heard. " Gabel, There are six, not five", I heard before I saw this black thing with red eyes laying on the ground in it sown pool of blood. " Holy- That was narly shi-", Was I said before the smell of blood it my nose. I just covered my mouth a nose with my hand and choked back a gag. Riftan took notice but didn't say anything. " Well, black werewolves can conceal their presence", The guy said with a sigh. " There might be more pf those bastards, so let's hurry". " Hold on tight, We're going full speed from now on", Riftan said to me fore we started to head off.
