Tony's pov

"Shit!" I yell as I see sparks. I was trying to figure out a way to get Steve's shield to go to him like moljnir does for Thor. And right now, I'm getting frustrated. I've been trying to connect the same damn wire for 30 minutes without the whole thing short-circuting. I grab a screw driver and start to pull everything apart. After a few minutes, I glance at the clock. I had been in my lad for well over 3 hours. I sigh and run my hands through my hair. I get up and leave in search for my wife. As I walk, I think back to the mission report Steve let me read. Rose did very well. I was really worried that something bad was going to happen. I mean, I know she can take care of herself, but I just got her back. I had no intentions of losing her again. I reach the penthouse and start looking in the kitchen. When she isn't there, I go to the living room. Not there either. "JARVIS, where is my wife?" I ask. "She is in Rose's room sir." The AI replies. I smile. I head up the stairs and down the hall to her room. When I get there, I knock first. When I don't get a reply, I open the door. What I see makes me smile as I lean against the door frame with my arms crossed. My wife and daughter are cuddled up, fast asleep. Rose looks like she showered before hand.

"What are you doing?" I hear from behind me, causing me to jump. I turn around and see the scary red head. I hurry and close the door. "Romanoff, What are you doing?" I asked her. She glared at me. "I asked you first." She said. I smirk at her. "I asked you second." I said. Her glare gets more muderous, if thats possible. "What are you? Three?" She asks. I chuckle. "Sometimes. But I'll have you know, I was looking for Pepper, but I found her like this." I say as I open the door. Romanoff peers inside. When she sees them, an unrecognizable look flashes acrossed her face. It's gone so fast, I think I may have imagined it. I close the door. "Now, What are you doing here romanoff?" I ask her. She looks at me blankly and shrugs. "I saw you and wondered what you were doing." She says. I frown at her. She merely walks off. I shake my head and head back to the lab until dinner.

Natasha's pov

I go to the shooting range in the training room after my encounter with Tony. As I empty magazine after magazine, all I think about is her. She is all I've been able able to think about for the passed month. Her eyes, her laugh, her smile. God her smile. It makes my heart clench. I have always had an attraction towards females. Steve was the first one to know. We came out to each other during the whole bucky situation. Now Steve makes regular trips to wakanda to see his boyfriend. Love is for children. That is what I was taught all my life. That is what I believed. Until Rose came quite literally crashing into my life and messed everything up. Now all I want to do is be with her. But I cannot risk it. Love is a distraction that I cannot afford. And we are both avengers. One of us could die at any moment. And I refuse to deal with that inevitable heartbreak.

Rose's pov

"Mrs.Stark and Rose, the others are waiting for you in the dining room." I wake up to JARVIS saying. I groan and snuggle futher into Pepper. I hear her laugh. "Come on sleepy head. It's not safe to keep a bunch of hungry superheroes waiting." She says, getting up. I whine and sit up. "If there wasn't food involved, there is no way I'd be getting up." I say. She laughs and tosses me one of my hoodies. One that Natasha gave me. I look at it and remember my plan from earlier. I put it on and head downstairs and see everyone already sat at the table. I sit between Thor and Steve. Now, I am not short by any means, 5'11'' to be exact. But I still feel dwarfed in between those two. Thor smiles brightly at me and swngs his arm over the back of my chair. Freaking cute golden retreiver. "Alright now that everyone is here, let's at." Steve says. As he does, The robots from the kitchen come out and serve everyone their food.

Everyone eats in slence for a few minutes before they start talking. I can feel someone looking at me, but I ignore it because I was still upset about earlier. Somehow, the topic becomes superhero names and how everyone got them. I don't have one yet. I simply sit back and start running a flame through my fingers. We had been trying to figure out one for me but nothing felt right. Everything from flamethrower all the way to darknight. But they didn't feel right. I feel a certain persons eyes on me the entire time. Starting to feel frustrated about the whole thing, I stand up to excse myself. "I am going to go ahead and got to bed. I still feel pretty tired from earlier." I say. Everyone looks at me with a smile, except one. Her face stays blank. "Alright kid, I love you." Tony says. I smile at him. "I love you too, Unce T. Good night Aunt Pep." I say as I walk away.

I reach the hallway to my room when I hear her voice. "Ember." She says. I stop and turn to see her less than three feet away from me. "What?" I ask her in confusion. She takes a deep breath. "Ember. Everyone has been trying to figure out a superhero name for you. None of them have stuck. But I think Ember would work." She says. I think about it. I kinda like it, not gonna lie. "You use fire the most. It's your strongest element. When you use it, your eyes glow red. Like an ember. That's what made me think of that." She says. This is the first suggestion she has come up with. And of course it has to be the one that feels right. I scoff. "I didn't think you cared enough to try to help me figure one out. I mean, after all, I am just the rookie." I say, upset. She furrows her eyebrows. "I just thought of it and figured I'd tell you. No need to be a jackass about it." She says and crosses her arms. I scoff again. "Seriously? I'm being the jackass? Ever since you offered to train me, things have been so confusing with you. Your nice to me one minute and then cold to me the next. If I was going to be such a burden to you, why did you offer to train me?" I kinda yelled. Her expression turns angry. "You think I regret training you? You don't know anyting about how I feel." She yells back. "Then why do you pull me in just to push me away?" I shouted back. All of a sudden, She lunges forward and attaches her lips to mine roughly. Her hands tangle in my hair as I grab her waiste. Her lips move against mine. They are smooth and soft. She kisses me feircly and I return furvor. My hands snake around her waiste and pull her closer. After a few moments, we start to hear footsteps down the hall and she freezes. She pulls out of my grip and she has a shocked expression on her face. Without saying a word, she walks off to her room and shuts the door. I run my hands through my hair and go to mine and lay down on my bed. I stare up at the ceiling, Wondering what the hell just happened.
