Tony's pov

I sit in my lab, thinking about the circutry in Caps sheild. It sits on a table with the wires hanging out the sides. I just have to figure out how to rewire it all so it doesn't short-circut. Then I have to make it small enough that it doesn't throw off the balance of the sheild. This is all going through my mind when there is a knock on the door. I look and smile when I see my wife poke her head in. "Hey, do you have a minute?" She asks. I smile. "For you, always." I tell her and she smiles back at me. She moves towards me and wraps her arms around my neck. I simply wrap mine around her waste. "Have you noticed anything off with Natasha and Rose?" She asks. It startles me cause I was not expecting it. "No, why? Are they okay? What did Natasha Do to Rose?" I ask her, furrowing my eyebrows. She chuckles. "Nothing bad. They just.. uh.. you know, I'm not quite sure how to tell you this." She says and my confusion grows. "Tell me what?" I ask her. She thinks for a moment. "They like each other. Like a lot. But are too damn stubborn to do much about it." She says. My face goes blank as I try to process this imformation. "So your saying that they like like each other. As in, they want to suck each others faces off?" I ask her. She laughs. "Something like that. Though not quite as vulgar." She says. I stand up. "Nope. Uh uh. Nope." I say. I move to the door but she stops me. "What's wrong with that?" She asks, her confusion evident on her face.

"She isn't aloud to date. And if she is, I don't want to hear it." I tell her while covering my ears. She just laughs. "Don't go being all over protective. They are having a hard time as it is. Natasha is struggling with her feelings and Rose is struggling with hers as well. They are both afraid to talk to one another. Although, I did talk to Natasha and I think she might talk to Rose. So I think we might see some progress." She says. I just look out into space. "Our little girl, growing up. It's enough to make me cry." I tell her. She puts her hands on my face. "She'll always be our little girl. But she is growing up. And I think that it's almost time to tell her the truth. About everything." She says. I sigh and slump against the table. "Your right." I say. "I usually am." She says and I laugh. "I'm scared. I don't know how this is going to affect her." I say. She rubs my shoulders. "She is stonger than any of us can imagine. She will be alright." She says. And once again, she's right. "Okay. Just give me a week to figure this all out. Please." I tell her. She nods her head. "Just one week." She says. She pecks my lips and leaves. I lean foreward and put my face in my hands.

Natasha's pov

I leave my office and go search for Rose. After my talk with Pepper, I want to tell her how I feel. I want to be with her. To hold her hand and to kiss her. To be able to call her mine and for her to call me hers. I want all of that. Fear rises to the surface. Love is for children. I hesitate for a moment. No, I am at least going to tell her. If she doesn't feel the same way, that's fine. i continue my pursuit to find her. I can't. I go to the living room and see Steve on the sofa, reading the news paper. I sit beside him. "Hey, have you seen Rose?" I ask him. He looks at me. "No. Why?" He replies. I shrug. "No reason." I tell him. He chuckles and puts the paper down on the coffee table. "Talk to me. I can tell something is up." He says. I turn to face him. "What do you mean?" I ask him. He raises an eyebrow. "I may be 90 years old, but I have not lost my eyesight. I'm not blind. I can see that something is going on between you and Rose. Everyone can." He says. I groan at that. "Barton was right." I say. He laughs. "Well, I guess there is a first for everything." He says and I smile at him. "So tell me." He says. I sigh.

"I really, really like Rose. Like a lot. And at first, it terrified me. I kept pusshing her away, but I'd pull her back in because I was afraid I was going to lose her. But I was so scared. I've never felt this way about anyone. So, I thought about it. And I think the risk is worth it." I tell him. He gives me a sweet smile. "I am really happy for you, Natasha. And I think you guys would look wonderful together. Two badass women. You'd be a power couple. And we could go on double dates!" He says excitedly. "Well first, I have to find her so I can talk to her." I tell him. "She ran off with Bucky. I introduced the to of them and they hit it off. Which makes me happy because he needs some friends. And I suspect that they will be great friends." He says. I laugh. Just then, there is a bang and and Barton comes running through the living room. He stops when he sees us and pants. "Where are those little shits?" He huffs. We look at him. "THEY PAINTED MY BOW PINK!" He shreiks and holds it up. They even changed the string to a pink one. Steve and I just bust out laughing. We hear more laughing coming from the kitchen. Clint hears it too and takes off. Steve and I just look at each other. "Should we?" I ask. "Yep." He says and we get up to go watch the show.
