Y/N POV
As we exited the portal, I opened my eyes and looked around. We were in what seemed to be a mansion or something big and fancy. Not at all what I was expecting. TY and me walked for what seemed to be 25 minutes before we stopped at a door. TY knocked and a younger woman opened the door. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.
"Hello princess Y/N. I can't believe you actually came. It's an honor to meet you." She said, motioning us to come in.
"Oh, thanks. Also, I'd prefer to go by just Y/N please?" I said, not trying to be rude.
"Oh most certainly. My name is Scarlet." She said.
"Scarlet here will be giving you details on your target." TY said, sitting down at the long table in the center of the room.
"Wait, TY... You didn't tell her who it was before she came?" Scarlet asked, a tone of shock in her voice.
"Of course not. Y/N seemed very stubborn, so I wanted to wait for an expert to tell her and give her reasons." TY said.
What was the big deal? I mean, 3 free years of private training from professionals seemed worth one person. How hard could it be? Plus I get an extra 2 weeks of training before.
"It's not a big deal, Scarlet. I'm sure I can handle 1 assassination." I said, smirking.
Scarlet seemed nervous. She then cleared her throat and walked over to a chair. I sat down next to TY.
"So, Y/N. Your target is a highly known killer. He has been pestering us since, well, since he changed. But we have figured out a weapon that could kill him. Sadly, he knows of it but if we send you, he won't be expecting someone like you." Scarlet said, avoiding names.
"Oh just tell me who this dude is." I said.
"Oh... Um... The king of the nether... Him." Scarlet said.
I sat there, thinking this was some sort of joke. I then burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! Nice one! But for real, who is it?" I asked, still laughing.
"Y/N... We aren't joking." TY said.
I stopped laughing and looked over at them. Scarlet smiled nervously and TY was just sitting there.
"Wait what!? You can't be serious! 2 weeks of training will not prepare me! Plus the guy is immortal! And his own brother can't kill him! And you expect me, some random person, to kill this guy with 2 weeks of training and some sort of luck!?" I yelled, standing up.
"We have a weapon to stop him. And he won't be expecting someone who is supposed to be missing or dead, in the royal family. Plus, 2 weeks of training will be just fine. Haven't you been training your whole life also?" Scarlet asked.
"Well since I ran away. And by my own training and stuff I read in books. Nothing extreme. Plus, I may not have family I love, but I'd still like to live." I said, frowning.
"Look, Y/N. I know your scared." TY said.
"Not scared! Just shocked you would pick up someone off the street and say, hey go kill the king of the nether with this highly enchanted weapon that we don't know if it can actually kill him." I growled, sitting back down.
"So you will do it?" Scarlet asked.
I sighed and leaned my head against the table. I really want those 3 years so bad. But this is a suicide mission. And it's gonna be a pain in the ass all together.
"Ugh... I... I guess..." I muttered.
"Great! Now, Scarlet will take you to your room. Get a good nights rest and be up by 8am to start. The next 2 weeks will be long. You won't regret this." TY said, smiling.
I hope I don't regret this.(657 words)
