Chapter 27: Ambush

Y/N POV

I woke up early the next morning. I met Herobrine, Null, Entity303, DreadLord, and even Selena in the throne room. Along with a few groups of wither skeletons, endermen, and zombies.
"What's Y/N doing here?" Entity303 asked.
"She insisted in helping so that's why she is here." Herobrine said.
"Oh cool." DreadLord muttered, sarcastically.
"Null, I'm putting you in charge of watching over her and helping her. Got it?" Herobrine said.
"What!?" Me and Null both yelled.
"I don't need help! I'm very capable myself, thank you very much!" I shouted.
"I am not the type of dude to babysit!" Null yelled.
I looked over at Null, offended.
"Frick you!" I growled.
Null then flicked me off. DreadLord burst into laughter.
"Silence, boys!" Selena growled.
"Who invited karen?" Entity303 asked.
"Oh my gosh. I'm surrounded by dumbasses..." Herobrine sighed, face palming himself.
"I'm not that stupid, for your information." I muttered.
"Y/N! Go put on your armor and get your weapons! Please?" Herobrine said.
I nodded, and ran out of the room.

Herobrine's POV

"Just wanna let you know, she'll probably die before the zombies." Entity303 said.
I growled in irritation. Why do I do this to myself?
"So is he 2 humans you speak of, on our side?" Selena asked.
"Yes. Zero and Scarlet are helping us. They are gonna try and jam the gate or whatever so it takes them a whike to get the royal guards involved. Therefore all we need to focus on are the assassins. And TY. Especially him." I explained.
"But for real though. What is Selena gonna do? She's a dragon. I understand she is very useful in all, but isn't this whole thing supposed to be stealthy? She can't really hide. Even in her mixed form she's still like, 8 feet tall and has wings and a tail, along with horns. You can't just hide that." Entity303 said.
"I'm back up, idiot. In case that gate plan fails." Selena hissed.
"Oh..." Entity303 said.
"How about we leave without the human?" Null asked.
I didn't even think about that. Though i'd feel awful, but it was for Y/N's safety. I debated for a bit.
"No. Y/N is coming. And Null, you are going to make sure she's ok. Or else..." I said.
Null sighed and then nodded. Y/N ran back into the room, fully armored and equipped.
"I'm ready!" She said, lifting her sword knto the air.
I couldn't help but smile. I hope she's really ready for this though.
"Everyone knows their roll. Now let's head out." I said.

Notch's POV

It was noon and Herobrine hadn't shown up. I could tell King Eric was becoming impatient.
"He will show up. He may have gotten off track. He's done it before with me." I said, reassuringly.
"I hope Y/N isn't actually working with him. Why would she anyway?" King Eric said, sighing.
"Maybe she'll change her mind. Who knows." TY said.
"Where is Scarlet and Zero?" Steve asked.
"They said they will show up once he arrives." TY said.
It was a quarter past noon and something seemed off. There was no signal that he was really showing up.
"Do you think your assassin's forgot about the signal?" I muttered.
"I hope not." TY muttered back.
Just then Herobrine, by himself, came into view. The thing that made me sick was that he was covered in blood, smirking.
"You really thought I wasn't expecting some sort of ambush? Fools! I have been around for years and know that trick." Herobrine chuckled.
"Where are your men, Herobrine?" TY asked.
"If I can kill 100 men myself, why would I need a few men to help kill you 4?" Herobrine asked.
"Somethings off." I said, backing up.
"I'd stop right there, brother." Herobrine said.
I stopped. But Steve turned and fled, grabbing the lever for the gate and pulling on it.
"Damn it! It's jammed!" Steve yelled.
"We are being ambushed!" I yelled.
"Surprise!" Herobrine shouted, lauhing like a maniac.
We all drew our swords as mobs started appearing from the forest. Just then 3 familiar faces appeared.
"Notch! He has 2 many mobs and the other glitchs helping him! What should we do?!" Steve yelled.
"Fight! That's what we do!" TY yelled.

Y/N POV

Herobrine told me to wait with Selena, after taking out all the assassin's. He said only to show up when they figure out how to open the gate. I stood, waiting anxiously next to Selena.
"You are one strange player, you know that." Selena said.
"Huh?" I said confused.
"Betraying your kind to work with Herobrine himself. No mortal had ever thought of doing such a thing. Those who did ended up dead in the end. You were lucky to be useful to him." Selena explained.
"Oh..." I muttered.
"He likes you, doesn't he?" Selena asked.
I turned red and looked down. I then nodded.
"Please don't yell anyone. He'll be embarrassed." I said, turning to face Selena.
She smiled and nodded.
"I won't tell a soul." Selena said.
Just then there was an explosion.
"That must be the gates coming down. I suppose we should head in." Selena said, shifting into her full dragon form.
I nodded, running ahead. When I came into view, it was a full on blood bath. Tons of bodies everywhere from each side. I couldn't believe that TY was still standing. Same with my father. They both looked horrible. Just then my father looked over and saw me. His face went from confused to a look of horror. I felt a little sympathetic for him. It must kill him to know his daughter would rather work with an immortal killer. I was then hit upside the head with a handle of a sword. Luckily it didn't hurt to badly. I looked up to see Steve.
"Y/N! Why are you doing this!" He yelled, grabbing my shoulders.
"I... I... Don't know." Is all I could get out.
I then used my leg to kick his legs out from under him. I hit him in the side of the head with the handle of my sword. He swung and hit my chest, making my stumble backwards. I got my balance back and swung, our swords clashing together. I then saw that TY had switched from fighting with Herobrine and was now fighting Zero and Scarlet. Where the hell did Herobrine go? I heard wing beats. Steve and me both stopped and looked up to see Selena. She started the gate on fire, which made it so no more royal guards could get through. Me and Steve then went back to fighting each other. Eventually Steve ended up pinning me.
"I'm not going to kill you, Y/N." Steve said.
"Welp. I am going to kill you." I said.
I then did the move that Herobrine had taught me. I grabbed him and rolled over, pinning him by placing my sword against his neck. I smirked.
"Y/N!" Someone yelled.
I looked up to see my father running over to me. Steve then grabbed my shoulders and threw me off of him. My father grabbed me and lifted me up.
"Y/N! What's wrong with you!? Why have you betrayed your family for that monster!?" He said.
I looked behind him to see Herobrine fighting with Notch.
"Y/N answer me young lady!" My father yelled.
I growled and used my claw like hands to claw my fathers face. He fell to the ground, covering his face.
"King Eric!" Steve yelled, running to help him up.
"You are no daughter of mine! You are a monster! A disgrace amongst us players! I hope you die knowing you did nothing but disappoint me and your mother!" My father shouted, looking up at me.
He was definitely going to be blind in his right eye after what I just did. I felt sick, like I was going to pass out.
"I never cared! You never loved me!" I yelled, backing away.
I noticed that Null was watching from the trees. I needed to get out of here.
"Null! Help!" I yelled.
He appeared next to me. Steve and my father looked horrified.
"Take me home! To my home! Now!" I yelled.
Null nodded, and grabbed my hand. We then vanished.

Herobrine's POV

I watched as Y/N left with Null. She had looked scared and sad. I'm glad she left. It was for the best. Once her father and Steve turned around, I could see why. Her father's face looked mauled basically. I then heard a blood curdling scream. I looked to my left and saw Scarlet holding Zero's lifeless body. TY stood there, blood covered. He had that same dagger he had tried to kill Y/N with. I noticed more royal guards getting through the flames. I decided it was time to retreat.
"Retreat everyone!" I yelled, punching Notch in the got and backing up.
Selena took off into the air, headin back toward the castle. Entity303 and DreaLord teleported away. I ran over to Scarlet and grabbed her arm, teleporting us to back to my overworld castle. She continued to sob, holding Zero close.
"I'm so sorry Scarlet. I should have been paying more attention." I muttered, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"It's ok... He's... In a better place now." Scarlet said.
She then looked up at me.
"Thank you." She muttered.
I nodded.
"I'm going to go find Y/N. I'll have Dutch help you take care of Zero's body." I said.
She nodded, looking back down.
