Y/N POV

The Next Morning

So I just wrote my name down on a death list. Great. Just amazing. As I followed the map Scarlet gave me, to the arena, I couldn't stop yawning. Even though I got a decent amount of sleep. But at the same time I wasn't really sleeping because I couldn't stop thinking of the dumb decision I made. I mean, this is Herobrine were talking about. An immortal psychopath. And my dumbass agrees to this. Oh well.
  "Morning Y/N!" TY said, appearing next to me all of a sudden.
  "Ahh! Don't do that to me!" I shouted, frowning at him.
He chuckled before turning left. I followed.
  "Are you training me? Also I don't really understand how maps work so..." I said, nervously.
TY sighed and nodded.
  "I will be training you for this mission. Only because me and Scarlet are the only ones who have trained for this in the past. But Scarlet... After one of her apprentices was killed... She refuses to train anyone again." TY explained.
  "Wait, if you guys have trained for this in the past, why can't you do it?" I asked, confused.
  "He knows who we are. He tracked our old HQ down and destroyed it. He also thinks he killed all of us. And if he sees me or Scarlet ever again, he'll know we have a new HQ and other small bases and have them all destroyed." TY said, opening 2 large oak doors.
Inside there was a huge arena and tons of cool things.
  "Wait? Does that mean you and Scarlet were the only survivors?" I asked.
TY nodded.
  "I'm so sorry. That's horrible." I muttered.
  "Well, that was years ago. But we should start training." TY said, changing the subject.
I nodded. He led me into the arena and started lecturing on how training will go. After that we started.

//Time Skip 1 Week//

I was only 1 week into training and I was exhausted. Everyday it was wake up at 8am, train till noon, then start training again at 1 and continue till 9pm. And then sleep. No breaks. And TY's excuse was "Would your enemies let you have a break? No. Now we only have 2 weeks of this, so let's get back to training." I was about to say screw it and let me go home. But we were already this far so, nah.
  "Y/N, your posture is stiff. You need to losen up. Your moves wont be smooth if you stand like that. Also head up, never look down in a fight unless you are blocking or avoiding something." TY explained from the balcony.
  "Sorry. I'll try again." I said, re-positioning myself.
This was my 4th time trying to improve this stupid move. And it didn't make sense. I bet 1 million dollars I'll be stiff in battle because I'll be freaking the hell out. I mean, again, this is Herobrine were dealing with. I'm going to be scared out of my mind. From what his brother has said, he's a merciless monster who loves to cause chaos. And I just fricking agreed to try and kill him. What type of drugs am I on?

//Time Skip//

Finally, time for bed. I plopped down on my bed, smashing my face into the pillow. Just as I was about to fall asleep, there was a knock on my door.
  "Come in." I muttered.
  "Hello Y/N. I heard your doing great." Scarlet said, coming into the room.
  "Oh, thanks. Also nice to see you again, Scarlet." I said, sitting up.
  "Nice to see you to. Also, I was just talking to Feather. She said everything is going well and Cyrus is enjoying her company, yet he misses you. But as soon as your mission is over, or if you end up quitting, you'll get to see him." Scarlet explained, smiling.
When she mentioned Cyrus, I felt a little upset. I do miss him. And I really hope I don't die.
  "That's good. Scarlet, you think I'll be able to pull this off?" I asked, hesitantly.
Her smile faded and she looked down.
  "I know TY will tell you to never to give up and stay in the fight, but don't. If you need to retreat, do it. TY will be upset, but it's better than death. Please, Y/N, if you have the opportunity to run, do it. And don't look back." Scarlet explained.
Her words made my stomach turn. Can't Herobrine teleport though? So even if I were to run, wouldn't I end up being caught.
  "What happened to your apprentice?" I asked.
Scarlet looked shocked. She then sighed.
  "My apprentice, Zane, was trained by me and TY. Zane had this deep hatred for the nether king. I don't understand why, but TY took this opportunity to convince him he would be able to get rid of him. Though I was mostly training Zane, TY would step in from time to time. And he pushed Zane to never turn your back on him. And Zane agreed. I tried to tell Zane he always had a 2nd chance, but he ignored me. One day me, Zane, and TY went to face Herobrine. After so long of fighting, we realized we needed to retreat. We were almost out of food and weapons and even armor. But Zane refused to give up. TY even tried to tell him it was useless, but he ignored him. And just as we were about to leave without him, Herobrine took his sword and impaled it through him. All I remember is seeing Zane's limp body and Herobrine's smirk of victory. But... That's it. You should get some rest, Y/N. See you in the morning." Scarlet said.
I nodded and she exited the room. That must have been horrible. Poor Zane and Scarlet.
