It wasn't till the last week of school before the end of first term break, that Subirah realized how much she would miss school.

She had been having so much fun, there were other kids and amazing events, and well some events that were maybe not the best but she had eventful days and that's what important.

Sometimes, she would toss around her bed thinking about her sister, Raya. Did she forget about her. Subirah had a mission at the back of her mind, to study hard, make good grades then go back to her mother and sister and build them a big house and a farm with so many goats and cows, that would be her mothers dream.

Going to school often made her forget about her worries. As she had to worry about other things like avoiding the special needs kids that Ruby walks and plays and generally spends her life with!

"Only one week to go Subirah!" said her mother Maya. "Then we have a surprise for you, we will do something amazing for the holidays!".

"What is the surprise?" asked Subirah. "Not going to tell you until it's time!" said Maya.

Subirah was excited for the holidays, but was still sad she was going to skip school for two weeks, even though everyone else was skipping it, it was a holiday!

"Class, this is the last week of school, and we finished our cillubus, so we will be doing some revisions alright, we don't have exams I know your too small for that but still you need to leave the class with at least a handful of knowledge.

Ms. Natalie split the class into two groups, girls vs boys. She would asked questions and give points to the team that answers, the team with the most points wins!

"What's the capital of America?" she asked. Collin raised his hands, and Darla and Ruby had their hands up from the girls team.

"Go Collin!" said Ms. Natalie. "New York!" he said. "Nice try Collin but it's ..lets see raise your hands girls your turn, I pick Subirah, we haven't heard your voice today!" said Ms.Natalie.

"Washington" said Subirah. "it's not! it's California stupid!" snapped Darla in a whisper. "It's correct, Washington DC".

After Ms. Natalie's lesson everyone's mood was terrible. Darla was teasing the boys, she accused them of cheating, but overall she was just angry the girls team didn't win.

Subirah was now going to the library daily to hangout with Jasmine, as well as to read. Ruby on the other hand, Subirah was avoiding, so they barley talked.

"So, what did you want to tell me, the secret?" asked Subirah one day as they were hanging out on the beanbags.

"Well, I think I trust you know!" said Jasmine smiling. "I..well don't judge me but I..I'm dyslexic." she said then stopped talking, her face went red, she looked like she really regretted telling Subirah about it.

Subirah stared at Jasmine, why was she behaving like this, what's wrong?

"What is dyslexic mean?" asked Subirah. "Well, it means that..I ..have ..well..a difficult..reading..and writing..well and also spelling" she said.

"But you come read everyday!" said Subriah surprised. "I can learn you know it's not impossible, I learn, I spend most of my time in the library to learn, that's how I become good!" she said.

Subirah was now scared, but not sure what to do. "Is it a disease?" she asked. "Well, it ..no..it's just difficulty reading really ...if you touch me you won't get affected, it's something to do with genes I think" she said.

Subirah could do no more than seal her lips shut. Ruby friends with sick kids, and now Jasmine herself sick!

"Wait.. We are still friends aren't we?" asked Jasmine concerned. Subirah thought hard, she did like Jasmine, she thought she had never had a true friend like Jasmine, and she would want to stay with Jasmine, to trust her, tell her secrets and concerns.
