Not an orphan

chapter 17

It was finally the day they were going for a holiday! it was sunny and the weather was just very holiday-ish. Subirah had gotten all dressed into her pineapple yellow top, and white wide three quarter pants, and her hair was up in a bun, and she had this straw hat on her.

Her suit case was packed, and it was a very busy morning. "OK, bye Maddison, bye Orson!" Maya said Stepping out of the door, Maddison and Orson behind them waving.

"Why don't they come with us?" Subirah asked. "Dear! they've got loads to do, they get their own special holidays every year you know so don't worry about them, it's going to be alright!" said Jace.

The ride to the airport was fun, not because it was any special, but because Subirah couldn't keep her mind off thinking about the trip, and they hadn't told her where she was going so it was more exciting!

The Bentley dropped them off at the airport drop-off and drove off. They walked into the airport, Jace was warring his polo shirt, a nice sky blue one, with black three quarter pants, the thing with three quartered is that it was summer so pants were a no-no! but they were rich and Jace didn't want to meet any of he's colleagues while he wore shorts.

Jace walked ahead of Maya and Subirah who looked nothing like mother and daughter, but they got along very fine. He got the luggage trolly and wheeled it to them, they puth they're suit cases in, Subirah left her backpack on her.

Ok, boring stuff were done by Jace, all that boring passport stuff Subirah never understood, then he said, "Ok, we have about an hour, we can walk around, anyone hungry?" he said.

Maya nodded, they headed to the nearest cafe. Subirah didn't feel like having anything at first, but when she spotted those chocolate chip cookies, she couldn't resist them!

They sat at a table and enjoyed they're morning. Then then walked into one of the gift shops, Subirah obviously go nothing more than candy, and all sorts of candy's and snacks for the plane ride.

Maya was busy looking at the little gifts, and jace was travelling htrough the book section, then he finally bough ttwo books, Maya bought a few snack for her and Jace.

The moment was finally here, Subirah was facing the stairs of the plane, they were long stares, her stomach started gurgling, she was nervous.

Jace got up as usual, Maya stayed convincing Subirah to get up. "Come on..you were excited for this, you can't suddenly change your mind!" said Maya.

Subirah put on a brave face and got up the plane, she decided not to worry about a thing!

She watched a movie on the plane, and didn't sit in the window seat, she sat in between Maya and Jace. They kept her busy, the plane took off, but it wasn't a big deal for her, at least she tried not to make it a big deal.

Maya made Jace talk to Subirah while the plane took off, she didn't talk to her because her seat was the window seat, and it would allow Subirah to see what everyone was afraid she would see.

"Here, put these on!" Jace said, handing Subirah the plane earphones, and pluging them to the screen.

"Darling, wait take your own headphones, the pink ones! and plug them to your I pad!" said Maya, she looked a little panicked.

Jace nodded, he hadn't thought of it, the captain was soon going to speak into the screen and Subirah would hear what she would consider, frightening words.

"Watch some YouTube!" Maya told Subirah.

Subirah was beginning to get nervous, but she figured it would be best to pretend it was okay, afterall she didn't feel like causing the trouble she had caused when she first boarded the plane.
