16th November 5999

Iwaizumi's POV:

It's raining.

I hope the raindrop I chose will win the race on the carriage's window.

I'm supposed to meet someone. I don't want a husband yet. We are in the mountains. Solivagant Mountains, to be certain. These are one of the scariest places. How do people live here? It's so cold here. This is like the fifth possible partner. I don't care who are they going to be like. I will marry them.

"Hajime, could you at least pretend to look a bit excited, please?" Says the old woman sitting opposite me. "What are you talking about?" I say as I roll my eyes. "I'm already looking forward to meeting someone I've never seen in my life and spending my life with him, starting a family and all these things that are expected from me," I say sarcastically. "Don't be a little bitch and man up! You don't have to marry him. We can keep looking if you won't like him." Another woman says. No, she doesn't understand. I don't want a family.

The rain is getting heavier as we are closer to the capital city of Solivagands. Mentula. I heard that people from that town are pretty cocky. Haha. I'm starting to see the city. The streets are empty, not a single soul. The shops are pretty small, but they look cosy.

"Why does he have to live so far away?" I groan. "Don't tell me he lives in the northernmost corner of Solivagants." I continue. "He's the crown royalty. Of course, he does." Mother says. "Ughhhh," I add and end my spectacular speech about how annoyed I am right now.

I look out of the window and zone out for a moment...

"Hajime? We're here... Earth to Haji~." Ma is the one that gets me out of my thoughts. "Oh- YEAH, right," I say. There goes my life. I hope he's at least a decent person.

"Wow." I'm genuinely amazed by the architecture. It's beautiful.

"Mrs Iwaizumi, It's our pleasure to have you here." Say Two of the three men taking care of our carriage and horses as he bows to her. "If you're going to need anything, tell us." States the third man. They take us to one of the fairly large rooms. One big table with chairs, but I doubt this is their actual dining room. Puellas usually like small spaces, but it's probably just bullshit. This castle is gigantic. Usually, more families live in one home, usually 3, but this is big for three families.

Who does this castle belong to? Elsa?

Six people are sitting on the chairs. All of them look at us when we walk in. Man and a woman in my mums' age. Then there is a younger woman with a Silvian man and a little boy. Their son, I assume. And there he is, my future husband. He looks pretty good in the distance. I hope he will do what I say so no problems will occur.

They take us to our chairs, one of the men leaves but the other three stand not so far from the table. They are standing behind us, to be exact. I'm sitting opposite him. He's actually... Pretty.

Please be a decent person,

please be a decent person,

please be a decent person.

"Good to see you again, Angelica. I know this isn't the Lux Brumalis castle, but I hope you are comfortable. Good to see you too, Sakura." Says the old man. Ma grew up in the Lux Brumalis, or how I call it - Luxulis, so, how do they know her? I mean, I get that they know her, but I heard Puellas are not so close with each other. Probably another bullshit.

"Let's just eat and get over this." Mother says. She sounds mad and uncomfortable. Why? The others continue to talk, but I don't listen. I'm trying to read my future husband. What is he like? Will he obey me? Hopefully, yes. He was looking down on his food all this time. I'm pretty sure he looked at me only once. That time we walked into this room. I eat while staring at him. Will he look at me if I stare long enough? He closes his eyes for a moment, stops eating, sighs and looks at me with dead eyes. He raises one eyebrow at me and, I continue to stare. He has pretty eyes. I finally get a good look at him. He's not just pretty. He's perfect. His skin is glowing without a single pimple or a wrinkle. After a minute of staring at each other, he makes the ( -_- ) face.

"Don't stare." He says. The room falls silent at that moment. "Why? You're pretty and, I want to look at you." I say. I wanted him to look at me so I, get a better look. I didn't expect him to talk. "Because it's weird and unpolite. And that isn't a good argument." He answers and eats again.

Everybody is looking at us. I can't do anything. We're not married yet. I look at my food and eat as well. The room is silent for another couple of moments but, then they talk again. Shit. He's probably not going to obey me. Well, shit. But I already made up my mind about marrying him. With a bit of luck, I'll make him listen to what I say. The rest of the dinner goes well, until...

"So tell us about your son. He seems to have bad manners. He's not going to get married anytime soon like that." Mother says. She's always so rude and honest. I hate that. "Well, no need to worry about that. We will make sure he acts correctly next time." his father states while looking at his son. "Right, Tooru?" He asks. "Yes, father," he answers. So his name is Tooru. Tooru doesn't mind him and continues to eat. His father looks back at my moms and gives them a fake smile.

"Well, what can you do?" My mother asks. Ma is silent. Like she always is. "I can dance, play the piano, sing and, that's all. Sorry to disappoint you, but I do not have any other qualities." Tooru says and gives my mother a mocking smile full of pain. Mother looks offended by that. "Good to know you're not even thinking about wasting our time. Can you believe that Hajime?" She asks me and looks at me. "Oh wow, how unbelievable he doesn't want to marry me. Looks like we'll have to punish him by marrying me. What a tragedy." I say with an emotionless tone except for the last part. I say that part dramatically. Ma's eyes go wide, and so go mothers. If gazes could kill, Tooru would be a murderer. I look at him and, I feel his eyes piercing me. I can see the fear and hatred in his eyes. Everybody is looking at me. I continue eating.

"What!?" Mother almost yells. "What?" I calmly ask back. "You want to marry HIM?" She emphasizes the 'HIM'. "Yes, whatcha gonna do about it?" I say with a slight smirk. Tooru's family is looking at me with wide eyes. Even the little boy. I forgot he was here too. Most emotions radiate from Tooru, who had been the cold one to this moment.

Tooru's POV:

"Good to know you're not even thinking about wasting our time. Can you believe that Hajime?" The old woman says and looks at her son. So his name is Hajime. Pretty name for someone so rude.

"Oh wow, how unbelievable he doesn't want to marry me. Looks like we'll have to punish him by marrying me. What a tragedy." He says with an emotionless tone. The only part with something is the last one. That sounded pretty mocking. I look at him. Oh, how I wish gazes could kill. He would be sliced into million pieces if they could. Why is he doing that? I don't want to marry him. I don't want to spend my days in the basement until he decides he wants kids. Just like my mother.

Please be a stupid joke,

please be a stupid joke,

please be a stupid joke.

"What!?" His mother calmly asks. "What?" He calmly asks back. How is he so calm? Is he actually interested in me?

I lied. I can't dance.

"You want to marry HIM?" She yells out the 'HIM'. It's not like I want to get married, but what's so bad about me? Am I not good enough? Not like I care. "Yes, whatcha gonna do about that?" I would get a beating if I ever said something like that. Even that tone would earn me a slap. That bitch. I want to punch him so badly. Stupid rules. Everybody stares with wide eyes. I'm full of emotions. Hopefully, nobody can see it.

"You mean it?" My father asks Hajime. "Yes," he answers bluntly. Oh shit.

16th December 5999

Tooru's POV:

Oh shit. It's THE day. I already have my things packed. I will live in Erlandia. "Tooru! Did you pack? We're leaving in an hour." Mother asks me. She sounds upset. Good. I take that one suitcase I have and go. This is probably the last time I see this room in a long time.

"Bye," I whisper under my breath. I have a book in my left hand and a suitcase in my right. Let's go. Today I'm getting married. I saw him once. I hope it won't be too hot in there.
