History
Once upon a time, in a world slightly different than the one we live in, the was a war. A war that decided the future of humanity.
In the 3rd generation, weird creatures started appearing all around the world. These creatures have never been to this world, and to survive, they murdered everything in their way. Because of this, many villages had been destroyed, and humanity didn't know how to fight them, since they clearly were born to survive. Humans have finally started to use magic since human weapons like swords or spears weren't enough to defeat those monsters. Back then, even an ordinary human could use magic. Humans have finally started to win against monsters, and it seemed like everything was going to be alright.
But as time passed, monsters were getting stronger, and eventually surpassed the humans. Monsters were hunting humans for fun now, and the humans now clearly needed something to fight monsters with, since magic is now worthless. But humans have found a new sort of magic: sorcery. Sorcery is like magic, but more powerful and complicated. A lot of people couldn't study sorcery, because the limits of the human brain stopped them. The monsters started to group up, and work together with a leader. Soon, wars started between humans and monsters. These wars gradually grew longer and longer, and soon, there were ones that lasted 30 years.
More and more types of monsters started appearing, and humans studied more and more magic to defend themselves. The highest form of magic was Alchemy, magic that allowed you to create tools with your own mind if you have the materials. Since Alchemy was introduced, professions like blacksmith were no longer needed and soon, large workplaces called factories started opening up.
In the middle of the 6th generation, intelligent monsters started to populate our world. However, they weren't as barbaric as their animal version. They used magic in their daily lives and were living peacefully. Humans didn't trust them but they accepted their species because they would do no harm. And life was peaceful at last... until 270 when monsters declared war because of a misunderstanding. The war lasted 55 years. Many people died, but even more monsters. A lot of people were forced to move out of their homes because of the destruction the war caused. In the end, the monsters won the war, but in return, their society almost collapsed. They had to rebuild the world, while humanity was hiding in the shadows after 6 generations of ruling the world.
Human Society
Humans have ruled the world for 6 generations, 2761 years altogether. In the first generation, people started to build cultures and languages, while supporting each other with surviving the attacks of wild animals. This generation lasted 511 years. Also, this generation resembled the bronze age. In the second generation, many noble families enjoyed a luxurious life, while others have been struggling on the farmlands, trying to make a living. This was also the generation when people discovered magic. This generation lasted 472 years. This generation resembled the years 500 BC. - 800 AD. In the third generation, monster hounds started to invade the world. People started using magic, and support each other to survive the monster hounds' attacks. This was also the generation that Romeo Malleris, the first ruler of the Saphion Empire, lived in. This generation lasted 810 years. This generation resembled the years 800 - 1200. In the fourth generation, people started to study sorcery, since basic magic could no longer fight the monster hounds. Also, a lot of unintelligent people couldn't study sorcery, since they weren't capable of doing so. This generation lasted 646 years. This generation resembled the years 1200-1500. In the 5th generation, the monster hounds started to get in groups and terrify smaller villages, meanwhile, humans started to understand the concept of Alchemy. This generation lasted 646 years. This generation resembled the years 1500-1900 In the 6th and (currently) last generation, many intelligent monsters invaded our world but were peaceful at first. The monsters declared a war on us humans because they thought that we were the leaders of a terrorist organization. The war lasted 55 years. 551,349,112 million humans and 701,632,900 million monsters died in the war. But in the end, the monsters won. The downfall of humanity begins here.
Monster Society
Nobody knew where these creatures came from, or how did they keep to show up in our world. In 451, July 5 of the 3rd generation, a merchant reported a weird-looking black wolf with 6 green eyes, a large body, a lot of furs, and 6 legs, 3 on each side. He said that this wolf dug itself out of the dirt and attacked him. He said that it was very terrifying. The wolf had a murderous atmosphere around itself.
Later many more of these wolves were discovered all around Westwood County, and later other regions too. Later, people realized that the only way to fight these monsters was magic. So they studied and studied and in the end, they successfully defeated the monster hounds. But only for a few hundred years, because the monster hounds slowly grew immune to low-level magic. The humans learned mid-level magic called sorcery, which was effective against monster hounds. Sorcery also helped to make normal weapons more powerful, by enchanting them with specific scripts. As humans grew more powerful, the monsters advanced as well. Later, when humans introduced high-level magic called Alchemy, the monster hounds were weak considered that alchemy was much stronger than sorcery.
This was when intelligent monsters started to invade earth. They looked just like humans, but they had black fur all around them, with 4 green eyes, they were very tall and had large feet. They were as smart as a human, and their actions were similar as well. They had cultures and languages like humans.
The war between monsters and humans broke out because monsters thought that secretly, human governments were controlling the deadly terrorist organization, Empire Accord. This organization has been controlling the north of the Fanäth Empire, and basically, holding all civilians in the area hostage.
After the war ended, both sides were really exhausted. They didn't really bother to rival each other, but they were focused on their own races, and to help rebuild it.
And that concludes the prologue chapter. In the next one, you will learn about Miron Zervou and the last standing nation in human history... so far.
