It's been one month and 3 weeks since I joined the military. Last week, Eduard, Beryx, a few other guys, and I found a monsterman camp in Fibeth county. The Sergeant Major of Vindobona has requested a meeting between our army and theirs. Then, the two leaders will discuss things between themselves. Things like: how to deal with the monsterman issue, and whatsoever. The meeting will be held in Safola, Harvest County. It will be in an art house. The date is tomorrow, so we are getting ready today. We haven't seen the Sergeant Major of Vindobona, but we are sure that he isn't too much for Cristopher.

I and Vlad were already in our suits and were walking on the 4th level to the garage. " Are you excited? I hear that Safola is a beautiful town " said Vlad, trying to start a conversation. " I have lived there for a while. It was a really poor town. Honestly,  I don't think it's that beautiful. " It is a very poor town. Or at least was. There were many collapsed and ruined buildings. Even the largest building was only 3 stories high. " You lived there?? Man, you are lucky! " " Why are you so obsessed with Safola? " I asked while being slightly annoyed by Vlad. " Many great films were made in Safola! Films like: Black Jacket made by Brad Jacobs, The Saint One made by Victor Kane, and Our Priority made by Melvin Rowland! " Ah, then I remembered that Vlad loved films. " But all those films were made before the war! Safola clearly has changed a lot since then. " I informed Vlad. " Ah, you may be right. But I'm still excited! "

We got to the hangar. Eduard and 13 other guys were waiting there. But 8 people were still getting ready. " Where are the others? " asked the Sergeant Major impatiently. Well, he has been waiting for half an hour already. " I dunno. Still changing into their suits I guess. " I replied to the Sergeant Major. He let out a sigh. I walked over to Eduard. He was smoking a cigarette. He suddenly handed one over to me. " Smoke?  " he asked. " Yeah, sure " I replied and took a cigarette, too.

Half an hour later everyone arrived. We each got into our cars. I was driving car #4. Despite being the fourth, I was leading the convoy since I already knew the road to Safola. There were great mountains on the way. There were dead trees, too... Well, whatever. We saw collapsed buildings and highways, too. To be honest, the countryside in this nation ( and literally everywhere ) was horrible after the war. We even saw an unused and abandoned monsterman barrack on our way. We were almost in town when we saw a pack of monster hounds running on the fields. There were 16 of them in total. It looked like they didn't plan to attack us. Not like they could, anyway.

20 minutes later, we arrived in Safola. As we rode in the ( still ) shitty-looking streets, I could sense an aura of disappointment around Vlad as he sighted the environment. The city was large. People like them could easily get lost. But I lived here for several years, so I know the roads around the city. The art-house was the finest building in the entire city. It was so famous, that even people from the other side of the nation heard of it.

We arrived first at the art house. It was large and majestic. There were stairs at the front and then a large square-shaped foyer with columns about 10 meters apart. There were four doors. Two on the opposite wall, and two on each side. On the opposite wall, there were two entrances to a theatre. On the right side, there was an office. And lastly, on the left side, there was the conference room.

The Vindobona Military guys arrived 5 minutes later. Their Sergeant Major was in their 3rd car ( They had 7 cars ). He was a tall guy, with long, brown hair. It was tied up in a ponytail. He was around 30 years old. After him, a woman got out too. She had was short, he had short black hair. I'm guessing she was his assistant.

" Yo. " I heard a man's voice from my left. It was Beryx, the guy with whom I and Eduard discovered the monsterman nest. " Hey, Beryx. " " Hi! " Both me and Eduard greeted Beryx. " What a nice family reunion, huh? " said Beryx jokingly. " You bet. I kind of envy you for living in the same base as that woman next to your leader. ", replied Eduard. " Ah, you mean Braelyn? Yeah, she got the looks. But she is a bit bossy. " " Ah, really? Actually, I would kind of like her to be bossy with me. " " You are a damn pervert, Eduard. " I replied to him, pointing out the truth. He is in fact a masochist. 

We weren't allowed in the conference room. Only Sergeant Major Cristopher, their leader, and their assistant were allowed. Meanwhile, me, Beryx, and Eduard had a little chat about things in Fibeth County. " They say that Saintrun's residents have been evacuated until further notice and that the mountain's been locked down ", said Beryx. " What if the monstermen will notice? They will be notified that we are aware of their camp. ", I replied to Beryx. Beryx shook his shoulders as a response.

20 minutes later, the two leaders and the assistant finally left the conference room. I was smoking outside but went in after they came out. " I will announce the changes now. ", said Braelyn, the assistant of the Vindobona team's leader.  " Tyloford's Military and Vindobona's military will ally to defeat the monstermen's camp in Saintrun, Fibeth County. The operation to eradicate the monstermen will be called Operation Clockwork. You will receive detailed intel about the operation from your Sergeant Major and his assistant. " come to think of it, I never even heard about our assistant before. I know that they exist, but I don't know anything about them.

We got back into our cars after saying goodbye to Vindobona's team. I was driving the 4th car like I was on our trip here. Eduard was sitting next to me. I asked him, " What kind of person is our assistant? " to which he replied, " She is 20 years old, and she is a girl. She is a very kind person. Everyone loves her and she loves everyone. " Hmmm. Woman, huh? " Come to think of it, there are not many women in our army, huh? There's 6, and then there's our assistant, too. " I pointed out to Eduard, to which he just said a " Yeah ". 

We arrived back at the fort. I saw a black sedan parking right outside the fort's entrance. " Oh, she's already here. " I heard Eduard next to me. " Who's here? " " The assistant. "
