I think for the whole 20 minutes I've been awake, this has to be the scariest thing. In front of me stood a small girl with shaved brown hair and tubes around her face. Myself in the mirror. I lifted up my hands and placed them on my small skull. The stitches from my operation were visible and my face was scattered with dark purple bruises and deep cuts.
"Oh my..."
"Everything okay?" The doctor frowned.
"I...I look horrible" I moved my hands down my face and gently place my fingers on the small tube attached to my nose. The doctor chuckled and lead me out of the elevator.
"You look beautiful. You know you're a very brave, strong young lady" he smiled down at me as we entered a room full of people rushing around. "You sit here and I'll be back in one minute"
I sat down in the very small silver chair and watched the bodies running around me.
"Are you okay there ma'am?" A tall woman with a perfectly white lab coat bent down in front of me. "My name's Kate" she smiled showing off her sparkly teeth.
I nodded, not quite sure what else to say.
"Well, what's your name?"
"I...I don't know..." I blinked looking to the ground.
"Oh, well why don't you come with me and we'll go see where you're suppose to be"
"I'm suppose to be here, I mean...the man told me to sit here" I said, still focused on the ground.
"I don't think you should be he-"
"Miss. Maher!" The Man from before came strutting back.
"Yes Mr. Graham?" Kate stuttered, stepping back a bit.
"Step away from Selena, you know you're not suppose to talk to any of the clients that come to this department" he scolded. If looks could kill, she'd be needing his medical help.
"Yes doctor, I'm so sorry I was just worried, she looked lost"
"Well she's not, is she" he snapped again.
"No, sir" she looked like she was going to cry. She hurried off into the distance and before I knew it I was picked up and walked into another white room for tests.
