this chapter is a bit longer just stick with me :)

"Bones, I appreciate your support here but I swear, if you don't let go of me in the next two seconds, I will rip out your remaining teeth. How many did I leave you with last time?" Bones' eyes widened and he backed up and held his mouth closed and gave his thumbs up to Ash and gave a nervous smile. "That's what I thought. Now I need your help Bones. I want to propose to Eiji but I need it to be perfect and I need you to help me perfect this plan. Alex and Cain will be let in on the plan later on but for now, I need a plan first. Are you able to do it with me?" Bones was in awe of this adorable love story he was helping continue to unfold. "Yes of course boss. I'm here to help with the perfect proposal and anything you need. But um, boss?" Ash smiled widely before he caught himself and kept a blank expression, trying to keep cool. "Thanks, Bones, I appreciate it. I really do. But this isn't New York, I'm not your boss, I'm no one fancy anymore. Not here. I call you Bones, you call me Ash. The gang lifestyle we had is gone, right?" Bones felt oddly comforted by this but didn't show it, of course. "Oh, uh okay no problem bo- Ash. Sorry, old habits but um me and the guys are only supposed to be here for one week that won't be enough time, and even if it is, we won't see the proposal!" "oh dear Bones, don't worry about that. I'll just book you all new flights for about three weeks from now, just let the other two dummies know your stay is being extended and cancel your guys' flight." "thanks man but that's a lot of money, how are we going to-" Ash smirked, "I make a lot a lot of money at my fancy job here, don't even worry about it, man." Ash's phone dings with a text from Eiji: Hey my pumpkin, it's been almost 10 minutes, we're about to order so hurry up. You better get yourself and toothless over here right now, before I get the desire to put a pumpkin on your nightstand. Love you<3 now hurry up. Ash looks at Bones, "I hope you can walk fast, we're going right now, we'll reconvene after breakfast." At breakfast, everybody is talking and laughing non-stop, taking forever to eat because no one wants to stop talking or laughing. Ash looks at Eiji as he's talking to the guys and stares at him in just complete awe and after a moment, Eiji looks over at him and shows a quick side smile, making Ash blush quite obviously as he tries to hide it and he thinks to himself; "Yup. he's the one. I know it. I need him to live. Wow. well, let's hope he says yes.." ~back at the house~ After Bones explained everything about the proposal plan to Alex and Cain while Ash talked to Eiji about them staying longer, they came up with a plan to find the perfect spot for Ash to bring Eiji to so he can propose. They all split up, Alex with Ash because he isn't good with any of that lovey-dovey cute inspirational stuff, I mean none of them are but Alex is the worst. So Alex went out with Ash to get a good outfit and set up all fancy so he could look the part and not be too fancy where his plans get given away. All while Cain and Bones got Eiji to give them a tour of his favourite places and after going from place to place all day, they finally headed back with a few tricks up their sleeve for Ash, as Alex and Ash were getting home they decided to just order some pizza and stay in for the rest of the night. After watching a movie, everyone but Ash fell asleep and he didn't do much, he just sat beside Eiji for a little while and then carried him up to their room and tucked him in as he headed back downstairs and went out on the patio, holding the little black velvet box with the dark grey stained ring, fumbling it around in his hand wondering how in the world he will ever pull this off. After a moment of just staring at the ring and thinking of all his times with Eiji as he begins to tear up, Cain walks out, Ash wiping his eyes before looking over at Cain. He looks at Ash with a blank face."Hey Cain, what's going on, is everything alright?" Cain grabs a seat across the table from Ash, and with a blank expression on his face, he says "Yut Lung and Blanca were killed a few days ago. We still haven't heard what exactly happened from the pros but so far we think someone from Dino's team injected them with the remaining doses of Banana Fish and they fought each other until one killed the other and the second man standing was left till he joined the first." It took Ash a second to come back to earth after hearing the news, he stared at the dark sky for a good minute before he finally responded to Cain. "Oh... wow." they both stood in silence for a few seconds until Cain got up, patted Ash on the back and paused then turned to head inside but before he took a step, Ash looked at him; "Yut Lung was something else, huh? So up and down, one confusing man he was." Ash smirked, nearly laughing at the thought of Lut and his latest work with Blanca, trying to go after Ash and Eiji. Cain looked at Ash; "Yea, he was, ha. Now come on, let's try and get some sleep, I know you need it you stressed out idiot" Ash jokingly rolls his eyes at Cain "Yea yea yea okay I'm the idiot... sure.." Ash says as he smirks as they head back inside to try and get some sleep. Ash heads upstairs with Eiji and as he's getting comfortable, Eiji turns to him and says "where were you?" Ash has to quickly come up with a response and his brain is spinning because what's he supposed to say? Oh hey, yeah I was just out on the patio thinking about how much I love you?..... That's sweet but that's so out of character for me... Oh right, I gotta answer him uh "Oh I just wasn't tired so I went on the patio for a bit don't worry, everything's good love. Just go back to sleep."
