"Why didn't you greet him at least?"
"What's his name anyway? I've never seen him before"
"Yeah, that's because you haven't been to the Children's Ministry in a long time" Liz snapped
"That's not true"
"Elle when have you...
"Stay on topic" I interrupted
I have been to the Children's Ministry lots of times, except lately. Maybe I had a gut feeling that trouble was going to be there.
"His name is Sean, he started volunteering about 2 months ago"
A guy who likes kids. Interesting
"What? You like him already?" Liz says
"No" I blurbed out
"C'mon, he's quite handsome and good with kids. The kids love him, he's very funny"
"It seems like you didn't understand the conversation we had last Saturday. Besides," I say, trying to change the topic "I wonder what Andy say would say if he heard you" I say jokingly.
Andy is a full time accountant, he's very smart. He and I have a great relationship, he is the big brother I never had. He treats Liz well and my parents love him.
"Andy met him already" she says as she hugs ms goodbye "I have to go"
"Take care. Don't scare the children"
"Shut up Elles"
"My name is not Elles" I yell and the only thing I see is her back, she's heading straight to her car.

*********Monday afternoon**********
I'm taking a sabbatical year because I wasn't sure what I wanted to study but I help my mom with her café and after I'm done I usually go to the park to take a walk and take some pictures. As I'm walking through the park I see someone familiar: Sean. Is he also here to take pictures? I noticed his camera.
He spotted me and he's coming straight at me. Goodness gracious, what should I do? He already saw me and there's nowhere to hide.
"Hi! Remember me?" Sean says as he searched for my eyes. "You're related to Liz, aren't you?" He added
"Yes I am. Hi". Work brain work please
"I didn't get your name" Sean says
No, that's because I didn't give it to you, I thought.
"My name is Elle Johnson. Liz's sister"
"Nice to meet you Elle! My name is Sean Taylor"
"Nice to meet you too Sean"
"So why did you run away on Sunday?"
"What?" I said acting as if I didn't know what he was talking about
" You didn't see me talking to Liz on Sunday? Why didn't you say hi?"
Blunt guy. I see
"I was in a rush"
"Are you in a rush now?"
"I am actually" I say as I start to walk away
"I'll see you around"
"See you soon Elle Jonhson" Sean says puzzled

One thing my phobia has taught me is how to run away fast when I see a cute guy that might be interested in me. I don't get involved at all emotionally because at the end I might fall in love and I will get my heart broken again. I wonder how long I will continue to escape Sean. How long will I be able to run away from him before he catches me or before he gives up on me?
