George's POV

I woke up that morning refreshed from the night before, not sure as to why I was more relaxed than usual, but I wasn't complaining.

I looked up at my bare white ceiling and stretched my entire body out, groaning as I released the tension from my body that was previously holding my sleeping state.

As I sat up, I turned to look at my phone that I left propped up from the night before, the call never hung up and I could hear Dream snore into his mic, comfortably. I smiled at the thought that he never hung up and really fell asleep with me all night long.

He is my best friend, the most important person in my life. It was a relief that we were on the same page with each other because now I'm even more excited for Florida than I was before. Sure as hell I was really excited previously, so now I'm just a burst of energy waiting to explode as I wait patiently to finally meet Dream, face to face.

It's about 11 in the morning here. I'm about 6 hours ahead of Dream, so it's still practically night there for him. I don't want to wake him, but I also don't want to hang up either, this is the longest we've ever stayed on the phone together since we've known each other.

I get up slowly and bring the phone with me to the bathroom, muting myself as I jump into the shower and cleanse the dirt that hung to my body from the night before. I can still hear Dream snore softly into his phone, comforting me as I took a very fast shower.

When I was finished, I hurried up and grabbed my dirty clothes and threw them in the hamper. As I was tracing back to my room with my phone glued to my hand, I un-muted myself and threw it onto the bed, hoping I didn't disrupt his sleep.

His continued snores confirmed that I accomplished the goal on not waking him up from his deep slumber.

I'm humming a song under my breath, not remembering the song itself but only the melody of it. Without much thought, I threw on some comfortable clothes, the hoodie I wore last night alongside with some gray sweatpants. I grabbed my phone and heard groaning emit from the other end of the call.

"Dreamy." I cooed.

"Hhm?" He replied, in his sleepy tone.

"I have to go drive to my mum's for my little sister's birthday, remember?"

"Please don't go. Take some headphones with you, I don't want the call to end. Just say you're listening to music or something." He groaned, under his breath.

Why wouldn't Dream let me go? I didn't understand how we shifted here in the last couple days but I still wasn't complaining. I suppose I was just curious, looking for a reason why we've been getting so much closer in the recent days.

"What if it looks like I'm a psycho talking to myself? How do I explain that?"

"You don't have to talk to me unless you want to, I just want you to be here with me. Please.." sounding desperate.

"Okay Dream, let me just grab some headphones and I'll jump in the car and continue talking to you."

"Thank you Gogy. I appreciate you so much." He replied, genuinely.

On the car ride over here we didn't talk about much to each other. He was still half asleep but still trying to stay conscious enough to be able to respond to me. It warmed me up inside how dedicated he was not to let me go from this phone call, how much he wanted to talk to me, his best friend.

After about 4 hours of driving to mum's, I parked in her driveway and turned off the car.

"Dream, I'm finally here." I said softly as I was unbuckling my seat belt to release myself from the car.
