*GEORGE'S POV*

A few days pass and we were trying to in-sync our sleep schedules once again, but in the same time zone this time.

We fell comfortably into each other as the days grew longer, learning how to coexist in each other's presence.

Every night I have the habit of picking up my phone to call Dream from my bed, forgetting he's just down the hall from me. I hesitate each and every time.

We decided to substitute late night phone calls to meeting on the couch every night to have our nightly routine — unable to run from reading each other physically.

We grew closer into our friendship and more importantly into curiosity as we melted into each other's every day life. This was a new territory that we were exploring in each other, cautiously.

Every day I learned something new about Dream that I would've never experienced through daily phone calls. I would piece together everything I knew about this man and relate it to the everyday life aspects of him as a whole, understanding who he is presently. Understanding the Dream I'm experiencing is the same Dream I knew all these years.

It was like piecing together a puzzle, figuring out who 'Dream' was.

Well, who exactly was he?

"George, are you almost done getting ready?" Dream asked, hiding behind the door that separated us from making eye contact.

"Yes, give me a moment. I'm putting my socks on." I replied, slowly.

"Okay, I'll meet you in the car. I told my mom we'd be there before 5 for dinner." Dream said, following the sound of footsteps down the stairs and finishing it with the click of the front door shutting.

Today I'm meeting Dream's mum, Linda.

I've only ever spoke to her through text messages when I won her phone number from a bet that Dream and I made, but other than that, we've never had any contact outside of that.

Should I be this nervous to meet my best friend's mum?

I want her to like me, is that desperate? Or normal?

As I was starting to panic, I was getting a phone call. I got up and started to walk towards the vibrating night stand, picking up my phone and turning it over to reveal who was calling me.

It was Sapnap.

"Uh, hello?" I said quickly after I picked up the phone call.

"I need your help Gogy." Sapnap said, desperate.

"I would love to help you Sap, it would create a distraction from going to go meet Dream's mum."

"Oh shit, that's today? You should go. Just text me in the car. Don't worry, she'll like you." He reassured quickly without hesitation.

"Thank you, I needed to hear that. I'll text you once i'm in the car."

I ended the phone call.

I grabbed all of my things before running down the stairs and hurrying to the passenger side of the car, hoping I didn't make Dream mad for how long I was taking.

"What took you so long?" He asked, as predicted.

"Sapnap called me asking for help. I told him that I was meeting your mum today so he let me go and settled on texting me while we were driving on the way there."

"Is he in trouble or something? He knows he can call me if he needs any help. I'm not sure why he didn't." Dream said, concerned.

"I'm sure he has his reasons. He was probably expecting to get to talk to us both through one phone call. Don't sweat it Dream."
