Chapter 5 ~ Lunch & Date

(Found out Cameron is from Upland, CA so it doesn't really change anything.)

It's 10:45. Melody woke up second of course. Cameron was on his phone. She looked up at him.
Cameron: "You're up early."
Mel: "I went to bed earlier."
She laid her head back on his chest. He started to play with her hair.
Mel: "CJ?"
Cameron: "Yeah?"
Mel: "If I get the part tomorrow, would you let me stay with you for filming?"
Cameron: "You can stay as long as you want."
He said rubbing her back.
Mel: "Thanks."
Cameron: "You're welcome."
He said hugging her.
Mel: "Aren't we supposed to be meeting two people for lunch?"
Cameron: "Yeah. After, you want to go somewhere fun?"
Mel: "Where did you have in mind?"
Cameron: "California Adventure?"
Mel: "You're for real?"
Cameron: "Yeah."
Mel: "Just me and you?"
Cameron: "If you don't want the others to come."
Mel: "Yeah, I kinda don't....I guess...."
Cameron: "Ok, cool."
She got up and went to her suitcase and got clothes. She went to the bathroom and changed.

Cameron was already done changing when she came out the bathroom.
Mel: "I'll be back."
Cameron: "Ok."
She walked out of the room. She saw Ezekiel downstairs. She walked down and hugged him.
Mel: "Ezekiel!"
Zeke: "Uh...hi..."
Mel: "Missed you yesterday."
Zeke: "Same."
Mel: "Where's X?"
Zeke: "He went with dad to 'explore'."
He said mocking his dad.
Zeke: "Just me, you and mom."
Mel: "About that.....Cameron is taking me to California Adventure afterwards."
Zeke: "You?! On a date?! Never thought I'd see the day."
Mel: "Uh! Rude!"
Their mom walks around the corner.
Mom: "What happened?"
Zeke: "Mel's got a date!"
Mel: "We'll it's not.....I don't think we're considering-"
Mom: "We'll good for you."
Mel: "So does that mean I can goooooo or....."
Mom: "Yes, you can go."
Mel: "Thanks!"
She ran upstairs and went back in Cameron's room.
Mom: "You know, I remember your first date. Boy, were you nervous!"
She walked off laughing.
Zeke: "I thought you would have forgotten that by now."
He said walking upstairs.
~Time Skip~
Cameron: "I think we're gonna leave at 11:30."
Mel: "Ok."
They were laying on the bed.
Cameron: "Did you ask your parents about later?"
Mel: "Yeah. I asked my mom. My dad isn't here, actually, and he took X with him."
Cameron: "That's too bad. He would love to meet my friends."
Melody sat up.
Mel: "That's a clue! They're your friends."
Cameron: "Not all of my friends are shown on social media."
Mel: "Dang it."
Cameron laughed at her.
Mel: "Cute."
She said laying back down disappointed. Cameron rolled on his side and looked at her.
Cameron: "Don't worry! When we get there, you'll forget you were even mad at me."
She rolled to face him.
Mel: "We'll see about that."
She said smiling a little. He smiled back. There was a knock on the door.
Zeke: "I'm about to walk in. If y'all are-"
Mel: "No no no no no!"
He opened the door.
Zeke: "It's time to go."
Cameron: "Got it."
They both got up.
Cameron: "You can't stay mad at me."
He walked out as she watched him surprised. She scoffed happily then followed.
Cameron: "Come on Mel."
She ran past him to the car.
Cameron: "Woah, you're excited. OH-"
He turned and grabbed a game off the counter. Melody grabbed his free hand.
Mel: "Come on CJ!"
She said mocking and pulling him. They went and got in his mom's car.
