*TW- lots of drug mentions, talks of drug relapse, mention of drug addiction, mental and physical abuse, harsh language.*
"george! get your ass in here!" his dad yelled from the living room, his words more slurred together than they were moments ago.
george dragged himself into the living room, tired and unfocused eyes fell onto his drunken fathers figure. he held a half empty whiskey bottle, there was numerous pills in a baggie on the table in front of him, what george assumed to be a half tab of acid, along with a couple of faded line marks.
his mother sat on the other couch, bottles falling into the dent of where she was sitting and a still burning joint in-between her fingers. she looked as if she was about to black out, though that was nothing new.
"what?" george asked, finally making eye contact with his father. the tiredness showing through his voice.
"lose the attitude boy. i need you to go to 45th and get my shit from lucas."
george simply nodded, heading to his room to get his own money to pay for the deal, knowing damn well neither of his parents had money for it. the only reason they still had a house was due to george and three jobs he worked. he barely ever had time to sleep, sure the third job was voluntary but he would still go as much as possible- as they definitely needed the money.
george stuffed the money in his back pocket, and walked out the back door and out to the garage, grabbing his bike and beginning to ride down to 45th.
the ride wasn't terrible, it never was at night. it was always cool enough to feel good, and there were rarely any cars around- or people for that matter.
george had memorized the route to 45th street, seeing as its the normal meeting spot for all the deals he runs for his parents. he rolled his eyes at the utter uselessness of his parents, he would've been better off without them and he knew it but he couldn't bring himself to leave them to fend for himself.
he set his bike up against the wall of a random shop, jogging across the street to the alleyway they always met up at.
"luke." george said, pulling the money out of his pocket. luke put his phone down, smiling as george walked closer to him.
"jesus fuck george." luke said, running a careful thumb over the bruises on georges face. george pulled away from him, wincing. "you know you can come stay with me whenever, right..? i'd be glad to help you out."
luke and george had become semi-close with how many deals they do with each other along with luke coming into the store george worked at pretty often.
"i'll be fine, but thank you luke."
"george-"
"luke. i appriciate the worry, but hes not happy with me and if i take any longer, he's only going to get more pissed. please, just give me the shit."
"is this your money, again?" luke asked, finally taking it and handing george a baggie of shit even george didn't recognize. surely this was more expensive than their usual deals, there was 2x more drugs in the bag.
"yes it is. why is there so much? surely i didn't give you enough.?"
"he asked for extra shit, and its fine- seriously. i was fucking rich in calls and deals this week, its all good."
george dragged shaky down his face. "i'm sorry luke, i'll give you extra next time."
"its fine, genuinely. go before he gets more mad. im here for you if you need anything. you've been staying clean from all this though, right? i know it must be hard."
