2. Meeting the Girls (That Most Definitely Don't Want to Kill Me)

As Percy was dragged out of the city that he'd overheard one of the girls call Omashu, corrected to New Ozai....whatever that name was, he couldn't help but think about the strangeness of this place. He was pulled towards a tank-like contraption. It was quite ancient compared to some of the things he knew in modern day America but with how he'd seen this ancient world, it seemed quite progressive for them. Must be very new technology. That was to say, it most certainly didn't match the innocence of Ty Lee.

The bundle of energy was getting close to being his first reason to break the chains, just so I could cover his ears from the incessant questioning and some flirting. Mai seemed to be entertained by that, but Azula looked like she was more looking for Percy to break and give her information she could use.

"So, how do you know the avatar?"

He just turned to her, with a troublemaker smirk, and stayed silent. Looking into her pleading eyes he almost broke, but he knew exactly what she was doing. Not to mention Percy had basically patented the baby seal look. He now knew how hard it must've been for...Annabeth. Ooft that was a rough train of thought. He pushed it out of his brain as fast as he could, before Ty Lee or Mai could notice the slight tears in his eyes. Looking at Azula's slightly frightening smirk though, he could tell she at least noticed something.

Being pushing into the back carriage of the tank thingy, he saw a cage of big lizard looking animals off to the side, and an empty cage that he was moving towards. It wasn't the worst conditions he'd ever been in. This was obviously a new world to him and he needed answers. He also couldn't tell what it was about the Azula girl but she still kept reminding him of someone. It was right on the tip of his tongue. The evil smirk got him closer to an answer.

After a slightly tiring morning, he lay down on the hard bench in the corner of the cell. With closed eyes he heard the three girls walk out of the room, with a couple men in that armour standing outside of his cell. He didn't let himself get into too deep a sleep out of self-preservation and the fact that he didn't want to tempt any dreams that might come and haunt him, out of habit. But he let himself drift off into a light slumber.

Azula sat on her throne, deep in her thoughts of the savage that she was holding captive one carriage back. She did not miss his reaction to Ty Lee's look, although she couldn't quite figure out why. If she could, then she could break him and information of the avatar would be in her grasp. But what was the boy's heritage? It certainly wasn't fire nation, that was for certain. He had a deep tan that was more indicative of the earth nation or water tribes. The green eyes would suggest Earth nation but, something about them seemed off. They were a deeper green and she had caught herself looking at them a couple of times, purely for curiosity and informative purposes of course.

"How about him huh Azula?" Ty Lee said in her infinite positivity. "He seems dreeeeeamy"

Azula had to calm herself to deal with Ty Lee. As useful as she was, she could really get on Azula's nerves.

"Adding him to your boyfriends?" Mai monotonously quipped.

"Did you see him though?! So cute! And he looked like he had some muscles."

He did seem like a soldier of some kind. Azula did recognise the look in his eyes. His mask had fallen somewhat in the pain portrayed on his face for that split second. It was truly intriguing, and he held himself like a warrior in his stance, in his set shoulders, in the way he hadn't answered any of Ty Lee's questions.

They had to drive around the many geographical obstacles that the avatar and his fellow savages could fly over on his sky bison. Stupid sky bison. They would have plenty of time for the interrogation of the mystery man.
