BTS: Diamond Maknae

Chapter 6: Soundcheck!

"Kira! Oh my god girl! I missed you" the soft voice squealed. "Hyuna! Omg! I missed you too, it's been too long!" Kira giggled, hugging the girl as they greeted one another. Today was the big day, Kira would be shooting her newest music video for her song 'Boy's Will Be Boys' and Hyuna wanted to be there for moral support.

Hyuna and her met when she first performed her first solo album 'No Time Like Now', and ever since they have been besties. Hyuna decided to come on set to wish the younger girl good luck. "Okay, are you ready to blow this place apart?" the girl asked, smiling at the shy girl. Kira was nervous but mainly excited to be able to show Hyuna just how much her music has improved.

This song meant a lot to Kira as it was her reflection on what it is like to be a woman in today's society and how they are always the issue. She had dealt with being seen as an object since she became a trainee, and this song was her way of showing the world that this isn't okay; that she isn't okay.

The girls continued to gossip as Kira got ready, changing into her costume chosen by the stylists. "So, how are the boys?" she asked, smirking as Kira smiled happily. Kira told her all about what had been going on since they last met, laughing and smiling away. Once the stylists were done with Kira's look, she showed it off to Hyuna, who proceeded to rant about how 'Freaking amazing!' she looked, causing the Maknae to blush wildly.

"Damn girl! You're gonna totally blow the charts!" Hyuna complimented, hugging the girl before wishing her good luck. "I gotta go now, but you got this girl! Just show them who's boss! Love you!" she smiled, hugging her once more before leaving the set.

Once everyone had set up the scene, Kira got into position, ready to blow everyone away with her newest hit. She channelled all her confidence and power that she had worked so hard for during her career and used every ounce of it to make this performance her best music video yet. "Whenever you're ready" the director called out. Kira nodded, taking a deep breath before signalling to begin. "Let's start, action!"

Once filming had ended, Kira smiled, thanking all of the people who had made this possible before getting back into her regular clothes, making her way back to the apartment, totally exhausted and drained for the long 10-hour day she had just been through.

"I'm home!" Kira smiled, giggling when all the boys rushed over to her, picking her up as they hugged. "Nae Sarang! We missed you~" Namjoon whined, snuggling his head in her hair as she smiled, running her hands through Yoongi's hair as they sat down on the couch, cuddling up.

After everyone got comfortable on the couches, they started chatting amongst themselves. "We can't wait to see the music video!" Jimin squealed, kissing her forehead as he got up to get the snack whilst Jungkook pulled up the streaming website on which the video would be released.

The boys had all listened to most of her songs, except for this one. She wanted them to get the full experience when listening to it, hence why she asked them to wait until the music video. They all respected her request, waiting an entire 2 weeks until the video was out. Tonight, they had all planned to watch it in the screening room together; in celebration of their Maknaes achievements.

Her voice carried so much emotion, pouring out how she felt dealing with all those emotions. They could see all the feelings that she was portraying when the camera would zoom in on her face. "But girls will be women~" she finished, staring into the camera as she wiped her tears, standing strong in front of the camera. The boys all turned towards her, smiling at her shy face. "Jagiya, that was amazing. You were amazing!" Jimin beamed, wrapping the girl in a tight hug. 

After all of the boys complimented the girl, congratulating her on her ability to make such an emotional music video and send such a strong message across. Kira smiled, her eyes filling with tears of joy. "Thank you all so much" she giggled, hugging them all as she bid them a good night. All in all, it was successful for their Diamond Maknae.
