Diane is helping her mom dinner.

Ruby is in her high chair playing with blocks.

Diane couldn't stop the smile forming on her face every time she thought of Phillip.

Cassie is busy stirring the pot full of spinach

While Diane chopped the carrots. Her goofy grin plastered on her face.

Cassie liked over at her daughter. Her brow raised in suspension.

Diane?? Asked Cassie

Yeah. She said looking at her mom.

Her eyes are bluer than usual.

Is everything okay... You've been all giddy and smiley today?? Asked Cassie.

Diane giggled.

Its nothing mom I'm just happy. Said Diane.
Happy about what??? She asked.

I have you as a mom. She said.

Cassie smiled and kissed her daughters forehead.

I'm flattered but if it's a boy you know you can tell me. Cassie said.

Diane nodded and bit her lip.

Its definitely is a about a man not a boy. Diane thought in her head.

Mama!! called Ruby.

Cassie gasped. Diane dropped the knife she used for chopping. Both blonde woman looked at the baby.

Cassie ran to Ruby.

You said it Mama!!! . Squealed Cassie.

Mom... She said her first word. Said Diane.

Mama??? called Ruby looking confused.

Cassie smiled as she picked up her baby from the high chair.

Oh Ruby.... I so proud of you you said Mama. Said Cassie kissing her pink cheeks.

Ruby giggled.

Diane smiled.

Just then the door bell rang .

Diane can you get that. Said Cassie.

Sure. Said Diane running to the door she opened it and gasped.

D.. Daddy???? She said.

Hi Diane. Said Diesal.

Diane's frown came to her face.

What do you want??? She asked crossing her arms.

Diesal sighed.

Your mother invited me. He said.

Diane scoffed.

Mom asked you to come to dinner??? Asked Diane rolling her eyes not believing it.

Yes she did. Said Diesal stepping in the house.

Before Diane could protest. Cassie came in with Ruby in her arms.

Oh...you're just in time. Said Cassie.

I wasn't planning on being late. He said as he awkwardly kissed Cassie's cheek.

Ruby squealed when she saw her father.

Hey.... Me' princessa said Diesal kissing Ruby.

Diesal is Italian he's from Italy he came to America when he was 13 and learned English.

Diane can speak Italian to so can Cassie but that was only when they visited Diesals parents.

Cassie's dad is Italian and her mom is half Spanish.
