Rukmini sat in front of the pooja Sananad was doing for her mother. Rukmi had given permission to her to invite him when she mentioned doesn't, she even has the right to seek the blessings of their mother before marriage.

As Sananad chanted the mantra Rukmini prayed fervently to her mother to bless her to get the man of her choice as her husband. She could see the fire was burning brightly as Sananad put offerings in it.

"Princess this brightly burning fire is the indication that the soul of your mother is happy with you. She is blessing you from heaven to have a happy and prosperous married life," mentioned Sananad.

"Revered Sananad I am so happy to hear these words from you. However, for me to have a happy married life I need your help," replied Rukmini.

"Princess your love for Krishna is not hidden from the subjects of Vidharbha. You also need to understand nobody in Vidharbha is happy regarding your marriage with king of Chedi. He will destroy this land that has been enriched by your ancestors. So, princess I know if I am helping you, I am helping Vidharbha also. It's the duty of a brahmin to stand by the member of a royal family to protect their motherland from falling in wrong hands.

I had been loyal to your parents and I am sure your father doesn't want this marriage. So, princess tell me what support you expect from my side to stop the marriage of Lakshmi of Vidharbha with a evil man," asked Sananad.

"Revered brahmin I am so happy to hear these words from you. I had called you for this pooja because I knew I can trust you. You have been one of the most loyal subjects of my father. You need to take this letter to Radha of Vraj. Request her princess of Vidharbha is trusting her with all her heart that she will ensure this letter reaches Krishna.

Let her know a woman is in a very difficult position and she is reaching out to another woman to help her," replied Rukmini.

"Princess keep yourself calm. I will ensure this reaches Radha. I was wondering how could I take any message of yours to Krishna as your brother has blocked all routes to Dwaraka. But you have proved love has the power to find its own way. Radha is called the soul of Krishna; she is mentioned as the last word in love. If this letter reaches her nobody in this world will be able to stop your message reaching Krishna. You are sending this to the right person princess," assured Sananad.

Rukmini thanked him and carefully gave the letter along with the Dakshina of the pooja he performed. Sananad tucked the letter carefully in his cloth bag and as he walked away Rukmini sat looking in the mirror. There was nothing more she could do other than wait. She took a deep breath as she realized she needed a lot of will power to manage the coming week.

"Mother ensure Padmini is free tomorrow," came in Krishna to his mother's room and Devaki looked at him astonished.

"Why do you need Padmini. She is busy preparing the wedding trousseau of bride's party. You very well know there is only one week left for your brother's wedding," replied Devaki not looking up. Padmini was the best designer of Dwaraka and was in charge of preparing the bridal trousseau for Revati.

Krishna knew his mother was angry as he had not listened to her pleas of going to Vidharbha and bring Rukmini. He sat beside her.

"Mother I hope you have not changed your mind regarding Rukmini. You still want her as your daughter in law right."

"Rukmini," Devaki looked up her eyes showing immediate interest. "Kanha, are you going to Vidharbha to bring her."

"Not immediately mother but I will go, before that a dress has to go to Rukmini. A beautiful wedding lehenga from Dwaraka as a mark of acceptance from the royal family of Dwaraka. I want Padmini to complete it tomorrow."

"A wedding lehenga to be completed tomorrow. Kanha are you in your senses. It has lot of intricate work involved. Why do you need it completed tomorrow? Who will take it to Vidharbha?"

"Mother please one question at a time. I will answer your first question. I need it tomorrow because, tomorrow is that day of the month when Radha sends me a pot of butter specially made by her. You always give sweets in that pot. This time along with those sweets I want that wedding lehenga also to go to Radha. Then you don't worry. Radha will ensure it will reach Rukmini."

"Kanha you were so stub born on the fact that you don't know whether Rukmini wants you as her husband. Suddenly why this lehenga and all. What happened," Devaki was curious.

"Mother you will get the answers to your question with the pot of butter Radha sends. This time that pot is going to have something very important that is going to prove to this world the power of love. So please let Padmini be free." Before Devaki could question him more, he was gone.

Devaki sat on her bed deep in thought. He was her son, but she felt she didn't know him. He had not let down anyone. He had always stood up for what is right. He had always delivered on his word. Still, he was an enigma. Sometimes she felt Yashoda understood him more than her and sometimes Radha knew him better than her. He talked about love in such a way that was unknown to royal clan. He played the flute and ate the butter. He had the intelligence of a brahmin, skills in warfare as that of a prince but at heart he remained a cowboy. It was like he had many faces. Devaki smiled on how her son can be naughty and in another second become serious.

With him telling the lehenga needs to be ready the next day she had to inform Padmini that she should start designing that day itself. It was not for any normal lady. The lehenga was going to be send to the queen of Dwaraka. It has to be grant and elegant.

Krishna sat in his room deep in thoughts. Rukmini was warming his heart each day. He had understood how she was going to reach out to him. A princess was trusting a simple village lady to deliver her message to him. It was as if Rukmini was not loving him just because he was a prince. She was in love with every aspect of him. She gave respect to everything he loved without questioning it. If Radha was his soul, Rukmini was going to be his life. He took the flute and began to play.

Back in Vidharbha Rukmini was giving final touches to her painting. She hoped her incomplete painting be completed in another week. She gently touched the peacock feather in that painting as a single tear fell on the paper. Immediately Rukmini felt a calmness in her heart as if Krishna had heard her and he doesn't want her to cry. He wanted her to trust him that he was there for her. Rukmini took a deep breath and wiped her tears. She had to trust Krishna and keep herself strong.
