Ye Jin never came back to Hyun Bin's room until he was allowed to go home after almost a week in the hospital.
To be honest, she really wanted to see his stepbrother's condition every day, but the presence of Hyun Bin's mother who had apparently taken time off to take care of her child there made Ye Jin felt reluctant to visit.
Ye Jin was sitting in the park alone that morning when she saw Hyun Bin and his mother walking across the hall towards the exit.
The girl was relieved to see Hyun Bin was able to walk on both feet again. His face also looks fresher, indicating that his health has begun to recover.
Hyun Bin looked around until his eyes met Ye Jin's. The girl could only stare at him from a distance, not daring to say hello because Hyun Bin's fierce-looking mother walked just a few steps in front of her son.
Hyun Bin just nodded his head at Ye Jin with his usual flat face. Ye Jin nodded back politely, wondering if they would ever have a chance to meet again.
Three days later it was Ye Jin's stepfather's turn to go home. The doctor still prescribed a bunch of medicine to take every day, and told Ye Jin's mother to always monitor her husband's condition.
Ye Jin sympathized with her mother, who had been busy taking care of hospital administration for the past week, making sure all her father's medical needs were met while taking over the monitoring of the employees at her husband's construction business too.
The girl promised to help her mother take care of her father until he was fully recovered so that her mother's burden would be lighter.
"Hey, what are you thinking?" Gong Yoo oppa looked at her kindly. Her cousin's smile always had a calming effect as if he was saying everything would be fine to her.

"I'm grateful dad can finally go home, I'm tired of seeing this place, oppa."
"Yeah me too, I can't tease you a lot here. Everyone told me to shut up and be calm." he complained while ruffling Ye Jin's hair.
"Oppa!" The girl sulked because her hair was a mess. "By the way, we didn't really have time to celebrate your victory in the end huh.. How about we join it with a welcoming party for appa back home?" Ye Jin asked.
"Hmmm... That's a pretty good idea... I'll just call my eomma at home to order some fried chicken and cola." he said, rising to his feet.
"Oppa... Can you call Hyun Bin oppa's house too, who knows he will also come and visit to check his father's condition?" Ye Jin asked hesitantly.
Gong Yoo looked at her for a while, considering his step cousin's suggestion before deciding, "Okay, I'll try. But don't get your hopes up too much, you know how he is..."
