𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝟖𝟐𝟖. I was sharing my earbuds with Cal. I looked over to my aunt and saw her scrolling through pictures of her, and I think fiancé if she says yes of course."Moms not wrong. Jared's not gonna wait around forever." My dad randomly stated, "Great marriage pep talk. Thank you." My aunt said dismissively sighing.
"Why are you fighting this when all it's gonna do is make you happy, you know I hope Ethan proposes to me one day. " I sighed dreamingly thinking about my boyfriend Ethan. My dad then gagged disgusted rolling his eyes.
"It's all we want for you" my dad breathed. "That was really sweet of you guys. You both must be drunk." Michaela said bitterly with a smirk.
"I wish." I laughed shrugging. "Definitely." my dad agreed chuckling, "Just say yes to Jared" I said smiling before adding, "I wouldn't mind him being apart of the family, he's a sweet guy." I nodded.
"Yes I agree say yes to Jared." Ben said "Have a wedding, and honeymoon turn the page it's time." my dad said sincerely
"—and yes, you deserve it." I stated strongly, as we all looked at each other "truly, I mean every word." I said quietly as we all smiled at each other
As we were smiling the plane got hit by some type of lightning and we all shook, some people screamed as they heard the thunder boom. We heard the alarm to the plane blaring and I held my dad's hand as he put a hand in front of Cal protectively.
"It's okay. Everyone-" the flight attendant yelled loudly, trying to calm everyone as he fell through the isle leading everyone to shout more.
The bags fell everywhere and the blaring continued as booms of thunder and turbulence went on. The power went out and the Engines whined as I held onto my seat, and started praying to God that we would all make it out alive. The screaming went on as flashes of black and white screened through my eyes. Then it stopped, the power turned back on, and the turbulence, screaming, and thunder just stopped. The cabin bell dinged and I sighed in relief to still be alive and to get back home to my loved ones.
"Ugh. Terribly sorry, folks that was extreme turbulence resulting from a sudden weather surge that was not on the radar rest assured, engines controls are okay but, please, keep those seat belts fastened" the pilot, Dally said over the mic
"Are you guys okay" I asked shocked and panicked to my aunt, my dad, and Cal. They all nodded breathing heavily still shaken up from what happened.
The rest of the ride went smooth and I relaxed from what had happened earlier.
"New York approaching." Dally said as he went quiet for a few minutes then continued, "Sorry folks we are diverting to Stewart Airport up in Newburgh.." he said as all the passengers groaned, "spitting distance from the city but for any of those who are trying to make a connecting flight, we owe you one. Flight attendants, prepare for landing." Dally finished as the cabin bell dinged
We started landing and everyone applauded happy to be on the ground. I pulled out my phone to text my boyfriend but my service wasn't working.
"Seriously? no service?" My dad asked groaning.
"Same" my aunt said.
"Ugh this is so annoying same for me." I said sighing as the cabin bell dinged, "and the inconvenience continues we've been asked to deplane right here on the tarmac" Dally said
"Cool" Cal said happily
"Um I have heels on brand new heels." I complained sighing as we heard sirens wailing outside of the plane. Why am I wearing heels? I have no clue.
