"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐧?" My aunt Michaela asked as I stared blankly just listening to what the detective, Donovan was gonna tell us.

"Must've tossed it, necklace, too. We'll find them." The detective said confidently as I nodded looking up to another voice. "Detective Donovan? Robert Vance, NSA." A man said as he walked in putting his cell phone away with two other men behind him.

"I'm gonna have to take charge of this investigation." The detective said as my aunt looked at me and my dad.

"Excuse me?" The detective asked. "Anything Flight 828 related is a matter of national security. Are you aware you have two acquaintances of the victim on your scene?" Robert asked as I rolled my eyes

"I- I wouldn't call us acquaintances." My dad stuttered out as I realized I knew who the man was who Robert was making me roll my eyes again.

"They all we're on Flight 828. You can escort these three outside." Robert said blankly as my aunt said, "Sorry. I owe you one." To the detective Donovan as the three of us walked out the scene.

"The killer one of them? Doesn't make sense." I said shaking my head as we went under the yellow tape walking to the car. "Why not? If they're fanatics..." my aunt said trailing off.

"These people don't want to harm us." My dad said as my aunt turned to my dad. "Maybe this one did. Maybe he thinks we're, I don't know, aliens or demons or something." Michaela said trying to find a reasonable solution.

"Then why is the NSA here taking charge of a routine homicide investigation?" Ben, my dad asked as police radio chattered making me look around to the police cars.

"Look, that must be the husband." I said nodding my head. My aunt and dad looked towards the ambulance truck and my aunt walked towards it causing us follow.

"Mr. Taylor? I'm Michaela Stone. This is my brother, Ben and my niece, Olivia. We were on the flight with Kelly." Michaela said with her arms crossed as the older man stared at us with a confused look.

"We're so sorry for your loss." Ben said sincerely stated as I nodded slightly, watching my aunt drop her arms to her sides.

"I told her not to talk. On TV, all those interviews, all that attention. She didn't care. She said she had to do it." Mr. Taylor said as I crossed my arms scrunching my eyebrows slightly.

"Had to?" I questioned as he nodded looking down. "Did she talk to someone or something telling her-" I asked only to be cut off.

"Calling. She had a calling— her exact words." Mr. Taylor said as my eyes widened slightly. "Sir, the medical examiner needs your signature." An officer interrupted.

"What did she mean by that, Mr. Taylor?" I asked as he stood starting to walk away having me follow "No, wait, Mr. Taylor, What..." I said cutting myself off looking to Michaela and my dad seeing them stare at me.

"A calling." My dad repeated staring in my eyes. "Like a voice in her head." He said as my eyes became glossy, "What if that's it, dad? What if this calling got her killed? What if- what if the calling tries to take me or you or-" I said breathing heavily panicked as he pulled me in a hug. "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you." Ben promised shaking his head.

Michaela watched blinking and panicked herself.
